BBi's Jump Gear Equals Ewesome!

Post by tkjaer21 » Thu Jul 02, 2009 6:25 am

As the title says, here is the removable jump gear from the newest WWII paratrooper packs with both open and closed chute options (BTW, BBI officially makes the best WWII figures, IMO):

Here is what they look like in package (they have been out for more than a year but are very rare):

On Resolute Duke:

On Captain America:

Also, for $9 per figure, we should be getting this type of gear to go along with the figures. At least accessory packs instead of multiple repaints. Anyway, much like the comics when he is dropping out of a C-47, I hope that you enjoy:

They came out about a year ago. I am surprised that grunt1 does not have them in the Database.

Nice. Also, I have always admired your Captain America custom figure.

Yeah, they do come with both chutes look at the very first pick for the packaging and the the back is in the 2nd pic.

Also, there are four of these guys:

-Two 101st Airborne (Warren Marcus & Paul Burgess).

-Two 82nd Airborne (James Prowse & Joe Ritter).

if they did german paras and redid the red devil, this way, that would be the cat's meow.

This is the way they should have done those american paras in the first place and they would have sold much better than dudes with jump gear molded on.

Thanks for the info, gonna have to get some of these.

just out of curiosity...on the first series bbi paras with the molded on jump gear. Are their parachute packs opened or unopened? I should think they are opened since they are mostly to be used in a 'descending by parachute' mode.

both, you can swap out between opened or closed chutes. It would have been great if the original release figures had the removable harness, or if these newer figures would get distributed in quantity.

Just a heads up! Smalljoes has the 4 removable chute figures up as well as the 4 Normandy figures and the AB weapons pack with cart for pre-order with a July 20th estimated arrival. Cheapest I've seen them online. Glad to see these are making a second appearance as I missed most of them at TRU last year :D
