Monkey Depot M1025 Humvee Desert Question
Hi all,
Just wondering if any of you who have bought the 1/18 M1025 Humvee Desert w/2 Figures from Monkey Depot could give me some more information on the accesories that come with the two figures that are advertised as coming with the humvee.
I am particularly interested in the M-16A2 assault rifle that appears to come with one of the figures as I have never seen it before.
If some one has this M-16A2 in their possession could they take a picture and post it in this thread I would be very interested in seeing it close up!
The original Monkey Depot page detailing this Humvee can be found here:

Thanks everyone. I'll be interested to see what you can tell me.
All the best from down under!

I'm really just looking at the rifle Razor. I'm trying to come up with an extensive 1/18 small arms collection. Some people in 1/18 do armour, others do planes and I do small arms. I suppose for me its small arms for a small budget but thats my specialty. Rather different I know.
It's also the area I do most of my modding in 1/18 especially with cold war era small arms.
So far I've built numerous of the following using parts from existing 1/18 small arms:
M-14
AK-47 (various styles)
Ruger Mini 14
FN MAG/GPMG
Sterling L2A3
F1 (Australian sub machine gun)
HK-33
HK53
Bren L4
MAC-10
M-16A1
Colt Commando
Beretta M12 Sub Machine Gun
As well as various others I cannot remember right now.
I have also repainted the following rare weapons:
G3A3 (Intoyz)
FN FAL (Action Force)
I've been pretty happy with the results so far.
In the future I plan to make the SKS, an M1 carbine with a 30 round magazine and paint up a PPSH from a GI Joe 25A Red Star.
But yes it would be great if you could post some pictures of the humvee M-16 razor. I'd really appreciate it.
Many Thanks,
Able Archer

There are several M-16s that comes with the Humvee set (about 4, I think). Unlike the older cammo humvee set, where the M-16s were painted all black, the new ones have more details painted on them. The stock and grip around the barrel are painted black, the action, grab handle, and magazine clip are silver or gunmetal in color. The plastic is harder than the guns that came with the earlier Humvee.
Other accessories included with the vehicle include the accessories (hats, pouches, sidearms, M249 SAW gun) for the figures and for the vehicle itself, there are the M-16s, TOW missile storage rack, jerry can, and the parts to make the TOW missile launcher stand. The stand is completely disassembled and no directions are included to assemble it. To date, I have not heard of anyone who has figured out how to make it.
In case this is your first 21c Hummer, the following information may be helpful:
The Hummer vehicle itself is actually quite nice. The paint scheme is good, though there is not much weathering. All 4 side doors open, as does the rear hatch - with "piston" supports. The hood does not open. The interior easily fits the driver and passenger figures in the front seats, though it is nearly impossible to fit figures in the rear seats without removing part of their legs or just hacing one sort of lay across the seats. The TOW missile launcher mounts on the top turret ring, where it can swivel and elevate. A figure fits well in the turret and the turret cover closes. The vehicle interior is detailed with the seats, wheel, instruments, and radio. The rear compartment has spare jerrycans affixed to one side. All windows and the windshield are glazed.
While there are better premium diecast Hummer models in 1:18, and decent Hummers put out by BBI, PTE and Hasbro, the 21c M1025 Humvee is a nice vehicle and one of the better 1:18 scaled Hummers on the market.

I wonder why they screwed up so badly with the weapons included with the most recent Vietnam figures release. Those M-14s and M-16s are just lousy. All the barrels are warped and their flimsiness is astonishing. By far the worst weapons they ever made quality-wise, IMO. (The US Marines set, OTOH, probably had the best weapons in 21st's inventory.)tmanthegreat wrote:There are several M-16s that comes with the Humvee set (about 4, I think). I'm sure you're familiar with www.marauderinc.com ? It just seems like you'd get killed on the int'l shipping for a vehicle, just to get the rifle(s). Marauder has a nice selection of weapons, incl. an M16A2, but being no small arms expert myself, I'm not sure of the accuracy (it's obviously missing the trigger guard of course).Able Archer wrote:I'm really just looking at the rifle Razor. I bet somebody from the board would have an extra 21C M16A2 from that humvee set they could part with. Just hoping you can find a way to get it outside of having to get the whole vehicle.

Thanks for the pic popeye and your kind offer to trade.
As luck would have it I've actually got a couple of these which I received in an order from ebay a while ago and I had always wondered where they had come from but now I know.
I will probably pass on trying to pick any more of these up as I agree that the detail on the marauder inc M16A2 looks a bit better.
Though there's a few items I think I will pick up first, namely the bbi British paratrooper.
Again thank you so much for all your help.
Where would I be without this board?
