Greetings:
This came over the Memorial Day Weekend from boardmember one-o-nine. I had wanted Pudgy for a long time and preferred this version. My dad was in the military and stationed at McGuire/Dix and I remember seeing the memorial with this plane many times. I also have gone to most of the McGuire AFB airshows since I was a young kid. I only live an hour and a half away from the base, so I've been there many times and I always thought that memorial was cool!
Finally got it upacked after returning from an airshow. What a terrific plane! Very nicely painted and very sharp. It's the centerpiece in my collection for the time being. It's a decent representation of the P-38. I had the original D-Day one many years ago, never liked it. This one is so much better.
I greatly thank one-o-nine for trading with me. I'm very glad I could work out an even P-38 swap with another boardmember. Your Cal Cutie is in route by the way. Great model! Love it!

Makes me want to unpack mine....
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

Always good to hear when someone gets something that's meaningful to them. Great to see board members helping each other out, I'm expecting a very important package myself thanks to a boardmember.

Pudgy is a great looking airplane and it looks really nice sitting there in line with the Wine, Women and Song and the Cal Cutie!
"I can stop collecting 1:18 scale anytime, really I can. OOoh, the new Stuka re-paint! I don't have that one.

You can send me one too and I will appreciate it even more than him.

It's the one P-38 I have and for the same reason, Corey. I grew up in NJ, visiting McGuire AFB many times. Glad you finally got one.
