The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.

Yeah,
Now that, I've seen wat a true modeler can do, I'm pretty ashamed of my kit-bashed nebelwerfers.

Does anyone know if these were ever mounted to vehicles?

> 251's fer one , like in the pic on the 1st. page , being towed . I'm not sure about other vehicles except maybe the Steyr RSO/1 towing it, but I have'nt heard or seen any actual pics on it , except for towing purposes , or for any other uses , mounted in a vehicle , either.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. I have some tweaks to make and these will be made available once I am happy with them. This is not a copy of another manufacturers item. I'm not even sure how to do that, much less handle the legal issues involved. :)

Anyway.. There will be a basic version that will have the Nebelwerfer itself, plus you will be able to order an ammo pack that will have six rockets and six containers (sealed). I did this to keep the price down for those that just wanted the main gun, or might want to add ammo later.

I also have the tail ends of the rockets that could be affixed to the base of the tubes to make the unit appear partial or fully loaded and ready to fire. It will increase the cost slightly on the ammo pack but I can include them if there is interest.

As for assembly and paint. These are unpainted. Fortunately this particular item looks good with just a coat of German Gray and Flat Black if you just want to give it a basic paint job. The more experienced folks out there should have a good time with all of the rocket ignition and firing kit that is webbed all over the rocket pods. I don't have copper or a good flat steel paint handy, but it seems like that would be some fun.

Regarding assembly, the unit will come with the following parts:

Main gun
Carriage
Left trail
Right trail
Front "kickstand"
Left wheel
Right wheel + axle

As for assembly:

The axle fits through the carriage and you just have to glue the other wheel on.

The trails and kickstand have holes so you can insert a small pin, styrene tubing, or whatever suits your fancy to keep them operational. I may include something, but at this time it is up to the modeler.

After that, you are done.

I'll post a photo of the un-assembled bits and the ammo kit parts later today.

Ok, here are some more photos. The wheels are also already assembled where as in the kit they will be separated from the carriage.

You'll note that the finishing is very good in some areas but there are some rough textures in others. I have another more expensive material I am going to try that might help a lot there for those that are interested. This might result in a premium edition or something. We'll see.

The first run of the basic unit will be $110. If you add an ammo kit figure $140. Note that these prices are subject to change.

I can also do multiple barrels if you want to build a loaded and an empty one. They are interchangeable as you can see.

I added an elevation control (the little white disc) and the gunsight (white box).

You can also see one white round loaded into the werfer. (See the blue arrow) It's not a full round as you can see in the pile of ammo in the next photo and is simply stuck into the barrel to make it appear that the werfer is loaded and ready to fire. The tubes mostly hollow, but are solid toward the middle.

Here are some items from the ammo kit. Actual kit will have 6 rounds, 6 containers, 6 "half rounds".

geez grunt. Enough already!

Seriously dude. I could picture these in a suitably art worked box , being sold as a cottage industry kit. You definitely have skills to pay the bills.

This is incredible. I'm so happy that you are getting a lot of great feedback and desire for this type of model. You an count me in for one or two as well.

Has anyone thought about doing a real homegrown 1:18 scale business where business could start with these types of models and modifications to vehicles? With a bit of marketing and some key pieces in both world war ii and modern eras this could be a good little business. Providing things go up and up you could eventually get into outsourcing the molding process, tooling, etc.
Best,

I'm glad a few of you were able to spot the other new 1:18 item in the photos. ;) I hope to have it and one other new piece ready after I'm done with the Nebelwerfer.

I will have the Nebelwerfer ready to go in two weeks for those that are interested. Please reply here and I will contact you via PM with payment and shipment details. Remember to specify whether you are interested in just the werfer or if you would also like an ammunition kit.

Ok gang, sorry this has gone a bit slower than I had hoped due to my travel schedule. Thanks to those of you sent me PMs about potential orders.

I'm going to finish things up this weekend and start an initial batch which I expect will go quickly. I will post an Ad in the BST forum when I am ready to take orders. I will also put some on ebay for those of you that can't use the BST yet.

$10 off an order to the first person that can figure out what the second item is..

I also hope to post some photos of the third new item this weekend if everything goes well. Some hints:

- In 1:18 it's over 24" long
- Nicknamed after it's designer

Could it be a Higgins boat landing craft? That is my guess.
