Newbie here

Hello everyone. I am new to this forum and found it by accident. I got laid off about a month ago, right around the time I got interested in 1 18 scale things. I bought a BBI apache the night before I got laid off and it is so awesome. It made getting laid off not so bad, cause that bad boy showed up a few days later. Anyhow I am thinking about dipping into my "small" severance package to pick up some Bravo Team things at Target. I really like the Abrams and Bradley. Does anybody have any recommendations on these two pieces, I know bbi made them too, but I saw the Bravo Team at target today and OMG!!!

the bravo team are excellent figures, my only gripe is that their hands kinda suck at holding weapons, other than that, they are the only things available for modern figures at retail. The bradley and Abrams are also excellent vehicles as well.

Welcome aboard Brother! Too bad about your job, I hope you get something soon. As for the Tanks & LAV's, you gotta get them all if you can! They are all great, I wasnt into tanks at first but when I got an LAV for my birthday...well, it went downhill from there. FOV is said to be coming out with their own LAV, I wish they would do the Styker but I can always use another LAV. Do a search on the board and youll see that there are comparison pics of the BBi and the FOV M1's. Get those Bravo team tanks while you can.

Welcome!! I highly recommend the FOV armor and figs. A few minor gripes about the figs but worth the $$.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the advice and hello's. I went to Walgreens aka Target earlier and picked up FOV Abrams (desert), both Bradleys(woodland and desert), but I passed on the Woodland Abrams and both Shermans. Can't wait till wife goes to work in morning and work on my job search aka check these babies out.

Welcome to the madness that is 1:18 scale. You should turn back now as it is more addictive than crack and spreads faster than swine flu.

Welcome aboard! Get what you can while and when you can, because no one knows when this ride will come to a stop!
"I can stop collecting 1:18 scale anytime, really I can. OOoh, the new Stuka re-paint! I don't have that one.
