Modern US Figures
Maybe I've missed it, but I've been looking and haven't seen quality 1:18 US desert figures -- just regular grunt types, not super-duper spec-ops.
Any pointers?

These are only at Target

I love these figures, 4.99 but they are only at Target.

My only gripes about the FOV figures are that the arms can be really loose right out of the package. To the point that they fall off when you open them. I also broke a hand off of one figure just trying to get it to twist. Lesson learned. Other than that I think they are great for $4.99.

Go to any Target store near you (use the store locator if you don't know where) and look for Unimax's "Bravo Team" line at the toy section, they come in two different assortment, U.S. Army and U.S. Marines, at $4.99 each.gburch wrote:hmmm .. maybe I've missed them ... any chance of a link?
Also, any regular modern desert Army grunts?
The U.S. Army don't wear desert camo anymore, all soldiers wear one universal camo, the ACU. Only the USMC maintains two different uniform camo, woodland & desert.
This is actually a universal problem for both 21CT and BBI too. I'm having problems with almost all of their WWII U.S. Airborne figures.trigger1 wrote:My only gripes about the FOV figures are that the arms can be really loose right out of the package. Most Target stores are well stocked on modern figures, so there won't be much trouble looking for them.gburch wrote:Thanks for the tip about Target -- that's less than 1/2 the price at Foxhole. Are the Targets usually well stocked?
As for the camo patter, I'd like to be able to get something from early OIF before that pattern was adopted, but I'll take what I can get.
Since your looking for the OIF period camo, I suggest that you get the U.S. Army Ranger Paratroopers that are also offered alongside the modern figures at Target.
There are only four U.S. Army Ranger Paratroopers available, out of the four only two has a somewhat similar camo to the OIF uniform ( I don't think there was any green patches on it in real life); Lt. Gilbert Macias and Cpl. Geoff Chance. The other two has the new ACU camo.
These figures come with removeable parachutes, face paint, and helmets with chin straps, they are priced at $7.99 each.
Here are some out of the package pictures I took of my Lt. Gilbert Macias to give a better look at the OIF camo as well as some comparisions shot I did with the new ACU camo:
Everything shown on the table is included with the figure:

I hope the pictures help!

Ya the camo pops against the dolly flowers. Just breaking some balls.
