Promotional Offer From Admiral Toys- $5 CL-13s!

Post by B-29 » Tue Apr 21, 2009 5:45 pm

Dear Members of Collector's Access,

Admiral Toys has joined forces with CollectorsAccess.com for a promotion to encourage members to join the "photo album" and Collectors Access "classified section". If you are not a member of these two sections now is the time to join! Admiral Toys is offering at the ridiculously low price of $5.00 for Cl-13s in 1:18 scale or $2.00 Panzer III L / H or M in 1:72 scale for anyone that signs up to these two sections. Shipping is not included. There is no sign up fee!! We just want to assist in boosting the number of members.

This is how you take advantage of this great sale:

1. Sign up to become a member to the Classified Section of Collectors Access.
2. Sign up to become a member to the Photo Album in the forum section. The Photo Album requires a separate membership from the forum.
3. When you sign up you will receive a welcome email from the administrators. In that email you will be given the choice of which model you would like to receive. No purchase is necessary.
4. It is that simple!!

This offer is valid for the first 200 members and only one of each model per member is allowed. Current members may also take advantage of this offer, if you have signed up for all of the sections discussed above. Please do not try to take advantage of this offer with multiple membership user names. The administrators have informed Admiral Toys that they know each and every duplicate member.

I hope you take advantage of this deal!! Here are some pictures of your choice of models

Looks like a great time to join... The more who join, the closer we get to the unveiling of the last mystery 1/18 plane.. Plus cheap CL-13s!

damn, I paid 19.00 from admiral a few months ago- they must really be piled up out there in Denton? texas. AT least they don't have to have that pile checked for lead, they wouldn't even be legal to throw at the aliens crossing the border. I guess we should join to show solidarity with a 18th manufacturer still in business(?) I don't think its a scam, Jason just managed to get stuck with way too many cl-13s

On Thursday I got 2 shipping notices, one UPS and one USPS. The panzers arrived today by USPS and Cl-13 is due Monday.
The panzers look great and quick service

I received my CL 13 and it is really great. However, I felt more than a little mislead when they charged me $15 for shipping instead of the $9.82 that came up on the website. When I inquired, they stated, the web site shipping is "discounted" because you are paying full MSRP for the plane. It is a great plane and well worth $20 shipped, but I feel the bait and switch with the shipping was unnecessary and left me with a bad taste...

Looks like they changed the game plane.
You have to go to Admirals site and purchase the plane there.
Go on the website:CollectorsAccess.com
Find the Admiral promotion and read what is require to get it.

Read the directions on the website under the promotion thread. It tells you how to get your models. No emails were sent. Follow directions... this is not a scam.

Regards,
Jason

I will look into the price change for shipping. Sorry for the confusion.

Razor,

Thank you for the clarification. We changed the game plan because it made it less complicated. Thank you again!

Regards,
Jason

Sorry that I did not answer questions earlier. It is a violation of this website for me to discuss this promotion. It violates the advertising clauses of the terms and conditions.

Regards again,
Jason

Ok, here is the answer to the increase in shipping price. The price that is quoted on the website is the discounted price for shipping the model at full retail, $59.95. You are only paying $5. We are charging the full cost of shipping. We are not raising it above the standard cost of shipping. Please understand that we can only lose so much money during a promotion. We have to charge the actual shipping price. Someone is supposed to be fixing this to reflect the cost of shipping at the promotion price.

Regards,
Jason

Got the CL-13 yesterday. Very nice plane. This was a great promotion. Got the 3 Panzers and the CL-13 in less than a week for about $34 total. I am looking forward to more new products from AT. Thanks for the opportunity

Random question, but is the contest still on or did AT run out of the 200 alotted planes?

What if you've already got the plane. What if you want more than one (or one) of those awesome tanks?

Anybody?

Greetings:

No offense is meant here, but I went to place my order, it was $26 for shipping to my location in PA. As much as I'd like to get the CL-13 for $5, I can't justify spending that much money on shipping for this airplane.

I understand businesses are free to charge for shipping as they see fit, but that seems very steep in my opinion. It's not even a bigger BBI model with the bigger box.
