That's exactly what I said aferg, the price of the item alone is OK, its the added cost of the shipping that makes it unattractive. I think there is a psychological side to it. I would rather see the price at $120 with $20 for shipping instead of the price at $100 with $40 for shipping. It ends up the same price, its just that we know it doesn't cost $40 to ship it and that little voice inside of us says "I ain't paying that for shipping". I think its human nature that we might pay a liitle higher price thats on the price tag as long as we don't feel we are being gouged on the shipping. And maybe I'm just full of shifting sand, which my ex used to tell me all the time.

Yeah I learned never to believe Mato's pics. But oh wells, easy enough to re-paint.
Here's my Matorro/Tamiya King Tiger hybrid. Matorro's King Tiger's suspension sits too low, so I opted to put the upper hull and turret to my Tamiya chassis.
Plus I added all bunch of detail pieces, including all working tool clamps and latches, metal tow cables, cupola machine gun mount, and tons of little details missing from Matorro or the stock Tamiya King Tigers.

I will finish this one day. -.-

That's a great customized King Tiger---is it a real tank or fictional?
I'll pass on the Matorro because the paint scheme isn't what I'm looking for---I love the paint scheme on the FOV 1/16 Peiper King Tiger and I want a Battle of the Bulge King Tiger. I think the FOV Peiper is beyond my reach---I pre-ordered the FOV 1/16 Tiger-Wittman so I'm not willing to spend another $400 for a tank. I was outbid $490 for an FOV Peiper King Tiger on ebay recently.

Really ?aferguson wrote:it's not $100. It's $150 because shipping is $50, regardless of where you live. I live in the same city where this guy is selling them and i can't get one penny less for the shipping cost....and no pick ups.
What a jerk. Unless he does not keep the stock and they are shipped in from some place else.
UKSUBS:
That 844 UK pounds is $1,182 according to a currency calculator---that's unbelievable. Someone on SSHQ was selling the same non-Peiper 1/16 King Tiger for $450 (including shipping) not too long ago.
I was out-bid on ebay for a Peiper 1/16 King Tiger several months ago---the winning bidder was in Spain and paid $250 for shipping. A few weeks ago on ebay I was outbid for a Peiper at around $490.

It looked to me that the one that went for £844.00 was bid up big time , they normal only go for £350.00 topsdragon53 wrote:UKSUBS:

The last 1/16 tank I ordered from Mato Toys came directly from China, not Canada.pickelhaube wrote:Really ?aferguson wrote:it's not $100.
