Can anyone tell me if the newer versions of the 109E (such as the Galland or the nightfighter schemes) have the cockpit seats adjusted so that they can fit the larger pilots? I was going to modify the seat by reducing the peg, but it seems like the seat is already sitting rather low in the cockpit, much lower than how I remember the first series 109 (I just removed the seat from that one and now I can't compare the two side by side). I still have trouble wedging one of those pilots in, but I don't want to remove the seat on my Galland model only to find that 21C already made this change. Can anyone post comparison pics?
Thanks,
Michael

seats
I don't know if they did the mod or what but I know I tore my pilots legs off before stuffing him in the nightfighter....I think the larger pilots just don't fit in the 109.
I could be wrong, and if so this is the place to find out.

The larger pilots do fit in the ME-109E cockpit, even with the lowered seat - and without having to remove the legs. The figure goes in snugly, but is not impossible to get in. The same holds for the new ME-109G.
Being able to insert the larger figure into an aircraft made 4 years earlier (albeit the seat modification) is a good testament to 21c's efforts to accurately scale their products...
