Whining?
Actually this thread was created in order to carry on the fight for a Zero from GP's board. Nobody is whining pal, hopefully 21st will eventually listen to their #1 customers and reasons for being...US!!!!...and put out this plane. I'm sure they'll find this site and pop in from time to time plus you never know, the online retailers that track the forums may request it from 21st if folks continue to express an interest. There is a difference between whining and maintaining interest, if interested in one then post as such, if not then no comments necassary. KnowhutImean!
Just so 21st doesn't forget...
More power to you VMF214!
The ZERO is a MUST HAVE!!! Hopefully 21st will respond to us at some point and let us know what's in the 'works'... and hopefully that will include a Zero.

I want one!
This a plane that just has to be made. What is the point of making numerous Corsair repaints when, they have nobody to dog fight with? This is one of my favorite airplanes, and it has to be made!

Exactly!
To put it in to perspective ... not making a Zero when you have a full line of WW2 aircraft already is like running a line of WW1 aircraft and not making a Fokker triplane or Sopwith Camel! Not too bloody hard to figure out!!! It's like Larry the CG says, "like wiping before you poop, don't make sense!" Us "whiners" need to stick together because 21st already has their bs stats based on model kit sales and if no one keeps this topic hot then guess what, NO ZERO EVER! Out

ZERO.
I talked to a guy at 21st Century Tuesday. He told me they would eventually do the Zero.I asked if he knew anything about the forum.
He stated that 21st Century was aware of gp's (honorable discharge)
and that P51 had picked up the ball and run with it!

I'm a legend in my own mind.

Zero
Hi Everyone,
In regards to the idea of a Zero, I think at this time in the progress of 21st century toys they should let the planes go for a little bit. The planes are really nice but there is nothing to go with them. I remember how neat it was when the first series came out there you saw P-51/109, Sherman/Panther, Jeep/Kubel, etc. That was so cool because it was like a themed series of a variety of items. Now, all we get is these planes, nothing to go with them.
I personally would love to see more armor, trucks, and figures. We need the figures to build dioramas and the trucks to do the same, etc. Nothing is worse than having a bunch of planes with no figures besides the pilots in them. It is kind of a joke in a way because I would rather have a full assortment of things.
Part of the reason I got away from the 1/18 planes by 21st was the lack of options. With 1/32 and other scales there are all kinds of accessories and items from other companies supplement 21st items and other items to make nice displays. Hopefully 21st scraps some of the planes and does some stuff for us in the truck and figure department.

Re: zero
I think we deduced that there was no white zero . It was VERY light sea foam green that appears white. I think any Zero would have to be made in that color just to sell Pearl Harbor.od1each wrote:Been so long about talk of the zero, anyone remember if this was going to be the white zero?
BBI is making a Zero so it's on them to give us the right scheme. I have faith . I guess the bigger issue is when will they get around to releasing it
And the Cats are cool, but I'm glad we have a P-51, Corsair, P-40, P-38 & P-47 ahead of any feline.....

either
I would buy both also - but I think the 17 is a little bigger and therefore less likely (could be wrong, please correct me if so).
cost is no object imo - if there is a $300 King Tiger why can't we have a $100 B-25?

Just think, the bombers had 6 to 10 man crews. That might mean a different line of figures.
I got the calculator out:
B-25, a 45" w.s.
B-17, a 69" w.s.
A couple years ago I ran across an old R/C model in an antique store. It was from the 50's or 60's I was told. It was a B-24 Liberator. I did the math and it turned out to be an inch short (wing span) of being 1/18 scale. I wish I could of afforded $200 for one then.
