Damn, I got sucked in!

Well, to date, I was only collecting 1:18 German Figs, and Vehicles. But I got sucked in by Monkey Depot, with their huge friggin sale. I now own a small convoy of American Vehicles. But what would a US convoy be without a Jeep. So, I bought a Gate Jeep for $36 shipped. I've never seen one of these up close, It looked nice from the pics. But was it worth $36? Does anyone else one one of these. Is it worth what, I paid?

Now I need a 21st Sherman, the FOV just won't cut it, next to the XD stuff.

I have a Gates Jeep and I really like it. It captures the look of a Jeep, and it remains one of my favorites.
Fred, really looking forward to the JSI 1/18th scale Grumman F-14 Tomcat.

The Gates jeep is cool because it's all metal and the steering wheel actually turns the front wheels. I really like mine.
About 2-3 years back, there was jeep dealer that had all these 1/18 scale Gates Willy's Jeeps for sale. I forgot how word got on the board, but the guy must have had a promotion that didn't do anything and had all these jeeps leftover. Well, he sold them for 10.00 bucks shipped each. People on the board bought boat loads of them. Like the Monkey Depot deals, being at the right time at the right place...
36.00 shipped sounds like a good price to pay for one of these, though.

I like the looks of that!
Where do you get Gates Jeeps? ebay? And do they offer anything else in 1:18?

I've got the Danbury Jeep, but that's a fair price for the Gates.
