I wonder if anoyone has ever tried to monkey out correcting the suspension?
That's a thing I have already think of. I may give it a try one day.

If you do, I wish you the best of luck. Just thinking about it makes my head hurt, let alone actually attempting it.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.

Here's another useful tip concerning the Patton:
The majority of the tank is unpainted---it was molded in the green color you see. As such, the unpainted surfaces are far too shiny. So I took a spray can of dullcoat to mine, and the result was outstanding.

Ok, this might help:

S1 Two Figures, Snorkel 4.5 lbs (in box) plastic hull
S2 No figures, no snorkel 6 lbs (in box) diecast hull
S3 No figures, no snorkel 4 lbs (in box) plastic hull

S1 is the original in the Vietnam box.

S2 was at Walmart

S3 is from Monkey Depot (and I assume the same version other online retailers have)

Does anyone have a definitive answer why wal-mart wanted all die cast ground vehicles from 21st? I would suspect it has something to do with how they categorize it in their inventory system. That way its not a "toy" its whatever die-cast collectors like to call their stuff to feel better about themselves.
Best,
