What should the next custom XD quarter finals closed
Ok we are narrowing it down. 32 guys voted . I think that is the amount of guys who activly post maybe 40 I really don't know.
But here are the quarters. Next will be semi then the finals. I wonder what the consensess will be for the number one ?
Speak up guys this is what you want this is what you get. Reminds me of an old Punk rock song.

One of my favs Paul that is for sure. Then again I only put up the ones that I wanted . Of course having every single WW2 fighter would be a dream come true. But that would never happen. Plus were in the heck would you put them all.Sabrefan wrote:Matthew, from one Louisiana guy to another.........P-39 please! How cool would it look with its tricycle gear, rear mounted engine. Cockpit doors, just one great looking plane.

Hey Pickel, I've been working on one of these for a while and have almost finished the tail boom. I'd be glad to let you sell it as a kit when I'm finished with mine. Maybe in the mean time you could do the wildcat or Tony..pickelhaube wrote:It looks like a landslide .
Is the P-39 going to be the next aircraft custom ? Only the half amount of votes. I cut some off of the other list . Did I cut other guys wants by doing this ?

Hey B-29 thanks for the offer. I have the Tony about 80 % done. But I wanted to get a poll out to see what the majority voice would be for a custom plane ( other than a A-10) and in WW2 era. I thought that the Wildcat would be in the top 3 but it does not look like it so far.B-29 wrote:Hey Pickel, I've been working on one of these for a while and have almost finished the tail boom. Thanks for the P-39 offer it is very kind of you.
I am not sure how you built yours but when I build my customs the first thing that I look at before I even start is "how can I make copies of this ". So my building process is a lot different than a "one of rendition" I actually make mine in pieces to be broke down a hundred times in the construction. Believe me this is way harder than a "one of " build. It is like 30-40 mini models that fit into one large model. So each one can be cast seperate.
A couple more votes ( 6 ) and I think we are ready for the finals.
Actually, I did build mine with this in mind. I was planning to cast several and sell them on ebay. I'm happy to say I even found a resin strong enough for landing gear. I've been using your P-36 kit as a model of how to break things down for easier casting.pickelhaube wrote:Hey B-29 thanks for the offer. I have the Tony about 80 % done.
