Just an idea...but what about coming up with a set of speed brakes for the Starfighter's rear fuselage? That might be cool. They look so good on the F86.

This post is really all over the place, but let me chime in. Talking about Sherman conversions, how about a Calliope? Fairly easy build and best yet, wouldn't take up a ton of horizontal shelf space like a flail or dozer model. :?: :D 8)

Your right this my idea sounding post. Rather than making a bunch of post do you want this or that. I put a few under the same heading.

I have always liked the calliope the rocket tubes look cool on the Sherman here is a 1/35 model of it.

Anybody else interested? I am using a rule of thumb . If there is about 8 guys who want a subject I will concider building it. This custom would be on the simple seid ( I hope) and maybe not that costly but there would be about $10 worth of tubes in it to start off with. Guessing. I would put a $50-$75 price tag on this.

Calliope would be very cool, as well - I would be very interested if you did a kit. ANYTHING to give the bloody Sherman clones some variety besides weathering and stowage!

I did a 1/32 Callipe mod. Luckily I save quite a bit of time and money on you PH because I wasn't blessed with all that God-given skill and patience. I used straws and balsa wood and painted it OD. It looks like a bunch of straws and balsa wood painted OD though...

Love to see one in 1/18. Perhaps cost would be lower than usual due to the resin savings by buying tubing...(SUBTLE HINT  )

anyone have any good side by side comparison pics of 1/16 and 1/18 figures and armor together? Never actually seen any 1/16 in person...

EDIT: erm... yeah, this should have been over in the 1/16 thread.

I would like to do all of the Sherman Funnies. Top on my list would be the huge mine roller and then the Calliope. The Calliope would be a little better as far as space.

Anybody else ?
