Found clearanced assault gunners, 30-cal machine gunners and snipers all priced at $3 at the Antioch, CA WM. Picked them all up.

Cleaned out all the Wal-Marts in my AO. I got several copies of the 30 cal machine gunners, snipers, and and German assault gunners. One each on the DAK artillery crewman, machine gunner, Pvt. Bauer, Lt. Ludwick, and picked up Sgt. Barnes as well to round up my Platoon collection. Also got myself some 32X stuff I've been passing off for awhile; Chinese Infantry and DAKs, M59 Long Tom, Sherman Firefly Vc (stripped camo), Spitfire, and the P-51 Double Nuthin'.

Both WMs in my area that were pretty heavily stocked with 21c this past year are bare.No 1:18 or 1:32 anywhere. No pegs and nothing in clearance.I never even saw the sniper or 30 cal. figures.I'm gonna hit 2 superstores this weekend and see what I can find.

I made a half dozen phone calls to every store within 50 miles of me.I found a WM that actually had some 21C stuff left in the store. The lady I talked to didn't seem like she was interested in going back to check for specific items,so I figured I would just take a chance and drive down.
They had 5 figures,3 playsets in 1:32 scale ,and about 10 planes in 1:48.This is the first 1:32 scale set I have seen that has Fallschirmjager figs.Feels good to come home with something again.

Bremerton WA Walmart figures $3.00 each. They just got the .30 machine gunner and others and they went straight to clearance. Went ahead and picked up a set.Plus they had a ton of platoon.
Could not think of anything to put here.

Found the same down south in Lacey; first time I have ever seen the sniper, MG gunner and assault gunner and get em for $3! Sad thing is it may be the last WM 21C buy I ever make. :(

Same thing at my local WMs. Doesn't really make any sense, but at least I got four each of the new MG gunner, sniper and assault gunner.

I've found the same thing down here. Figures for $3.
So even though I don't do DAK, I get 'em anyway and am converting them into custom Tankers dressed in black. I'll do a post on the later ;)

Still see some Baboon figures too, but I skip them and let 'em rot

Bad news: two of my AO WMs (Yelm and Lakewood) have ZERO 21C stocked after their reset. :(

3 out of 5 WM have no space for 21st Century after reset. @ have space but no product. These have stickers that say product expected 1/25 or 2/5. It will be interesting to see what shows up

any pegs with those empty spaces awaiting product or is it just shelves? The planograms I saw only had shelf space but the shelf had an area for 1/18 figures. The return to retail prices from clearance that some people are reporting would make sense if they're expecting new inventory.

keeping my fingers crossed for a 1/18 surprise... 8)

You know General, I had the same mindset until about a week ago. I have started buying up the Platoon or generic VN figures
Why? Because of their arms. Short sleeved arms, to be specific. I have started painting them and using them on the Germans.
I got the idea from The Woofer forever ago, but just now tried it myself.
Works great.

Also, I bought up all of the newest 21st 1/18 figures I found at WM for $3 as well. However, I haven't seen any other stuff, anywhere, since then.

Sad days.
I looked at the trap, Ray.

Same here at one of my AO WMs. Strange seeing the 1/18 figures on the bottom shelf. I am thinking that won't last for long...

funny story .. one of the WMs near me had tons of DAK, Platoon, and the new series sniper etc for 1.00 last month - I bought a ton of figures. None were left. They just restocked three pegs of Platoon figures at regular price. 4.99. .....I laughed....

and laughed...

I have seen the same kind of thing happen with other kinds of product @ WM. They drop the price to 1.00 and sell what they have. The next week they have more @ full price!
I really don't know how they stay in business... :?
