Found the M16 at Glendale. This one wasn't "locked down" like Costa Mesa was, interestingly this is the only store I've seen in all of SoCal that has every Bravo Team vehicle lined up on the shelf together (both camo Abrams, both camo Bradley, both camo Sherman, and the M16), all except the Tiger through. 21CT/FSM stock is here too, which is rather odd as I was here three months ago and there wasn't anything there before. Other than that, this store jacked up the price of the FOV Battle Extreme packs to $17.69.

You sure are luck in So Cal! New FOV 1/32, wide selection of the 1:18 vehicles and, heck, even the 21c items at Target. So far nothing new (in terms of the small scale military items) at my local stores a couple hundred miles to the north.

FOV's Tiger...

Post by normandy » Tue Dec 02, 2008 4:50 pm

The last I heard about the 1:18th Tiger I it was due in early '09. I've been looking since they first came out, it's the only reason I go to Target. :P

I actually found one of these at my local target whilest Christmas shopping :P And as the phrase goes, "You snooze, you lose". So I picked it up. Yeah, the detail is pretty low, but one thing I found was that you can remove the drum clips on the guns as well as the guns. But I think I will maybe convert it over to a mobile artillary piece and remove the quad 50 cal.s and replace with one of the GI Joe 105mm (I think it is) howitzers I have to make my 2nd "Kelly's Heros" halftracks 8)

yes the Joe mountain howitzer is loosely based on the 105mm howitzer. I used one to make one, if you know what i mean.

There were actually a few hundred m3's with a 105 in them, called the T19 but they weren't overly successful because the chassis couldn't take the strain. They were intended originally as tank destroyers and were seen both with and without the gun shield. They saw service from operation Torch into 1945 however.

Found the M16 here in Huntsville today. Not as detailed as 21st, but not as toyish as I had thought either. Actually looks pretty good so I bought one. Need to do my part to try and keep the 1:18 dream alive!

I was at my local Target and the shelves (and pegs) were pretty bare, but they had already done a reset for position, at least, and new tags were out. One thing I found interesting: not only was there a tag for the standard FOV 1/18 figures ($5.19), but also a tag for "Bravo paratroopers" for $7.99. There were also tags for vehicles in both $19.99 and $24.99 price points. So sounds like there is at least some hope!

I would think that the $19.99 and $24.99 tags would be for the 1/32 vehicles they have been stocking rather than 1/18 stuff. But either way that is a good thing.

There were separate tags for 1/32 and 1/72 vehicles, including a shelf tag for the $14.99 1/72 boxed vehicle sets.

I saw the Bravo Paratroopers tags too at my Target, didn't see any $19.99 or $24.99 tags anywhere in my Targets through.

Ironically, this Target has yet to have any of the 4-star 21st stuff. But they have been pretty consistent on FOV 1/18 stuff (not Tiger or M16 yet, though), and a much more limited selection of 1/32 and 1/72. Factor in that they 3 1/72 aircraft they DO have have been moved to the 30% off clearance area along with all the Indiana Jones stuff, but are still scanning at full price.

Have not seen any new FOV tags yet. The Targets in my area that carry the Bravo Team products have not fully cleared out their stock yet. One still as at least several M-16s and Shermans...

We should be getting the Stryker in the next few months, I think

None of the Targets in my AO displayed any of the price tags. Some stores didn't have any armor, but all stores still had stock for US Army, Marines and some WW2 German and US figures.

Nope, the paratroopers listed on the tags clearly say Unimax, the tag itself reads in full: "Unimax 1:18 Bravo Paratroopers $7.99".
It appears FOV is making their own line of paratroopers to compete with BBI's, I wonder if FOV will have Fallschirmjagers in this line...

Unimax is going to have a booth at the Nurnberg toy fair.

Nothing on their site as far as new figures, but that doesn't matter. Many times we've seen new products on shelves long before "official web site" has been updated.
I'd also like to see some Fallschirmjagers!

Finished mopping up various Targets and Wal-Marts today, all the way to the border of LA and OC. Very disappointing results on both side, couldn't find any important 21CT soldiers and equipment to be rescued, I think all the foreigners mopped up all the stores before they left after the Rose Parade.

Anyways, adding on to the FOV Paratroopers, there are new price tags and shelf space for new FOV stock.
First up was:
-"Unimax 1:32 Bravo Aircraft $19.99"
-"Unimax 1:32 Bravo Vehicles $19.99"
-"Unimax 1:32 Figures $4.99"
-"Unimax 1:72 Battle Assortment $17.59"

All of them had a grey colored circle sticker on each.
I found it very weird how everything was listed as "Bravo", I don't remember if the 1:32 figures had the same name through.
Other than that, the M-16 is pretty much available in any Target now.

Oh yeah, I noticed something odd, there were price tags inbetween the G.I. Joe and FOV stock, something called "Special Forces", there were two different price tags, one for figures and one for vehicles. Are these G.I. Joe toys too or something entirely different? There was nothing on the shelf through.

VMF115 wrote:those must be new????? any pics of them?
You want pictures of the price tags? I'll see if I can get a few shots tomorrow, if nothing still doesn't show up.
