What unit did Snake Eyes belong to In Vietnam ????????...speculation is also welcomed. 8)

All I know is in the Marvel Comic books Snake eyes was in a LRRP with Stalker, Stormshadow and a few others.

I found this cool pic on the 1/6th warriors site.

Snake Eyes was in the US Army. He was in the same LRRP squad with Tommy Arashikage (who would later become Storm Shadow) and Lonzo Wilkinson (who would later become Sgt. Stalker) while in Vietnam. He was the heavy machine gunner in the squad carrying the M60.

Upon returning home from Vietnam, his family is killed by a drunk driver on their way to pick him up at the airport. The drunk driver that kills his family is also killed in the accident and is the brother of a Used Car salesman who would later become Cobra Commander.

After some time of wondering, Snake Eyes seeks refuge with Tommy Arashikage and his family's clan in Japan. Snake Eyes trains to become a ninja along with Tommy. Tommy's uncle, the Hard Master, is mistakenly killed by Zartan who has been hired by Cobra Commander to kill Snake Eyes.

Tommy infiltrates the ranks of Cobra as Storm Shadow to find the person responsible for his uncle's death while Snake Eyes takes a different path returning to the states where he is sought out by Colonel Hawk and Lonzo Wilkinson (who is now Sgt. Stalker) to join the newly formed GI Joe team.
Go Ugly Early in 1/18!!

Still waiting and wishing for a 1/18 A-10 Warthog.
