In other words, the only way that another 1/18 F-14 will be available from them is if somone cancels their Pre-Order......

This news makes this model even more strange. I wonder if this means that the 1,000 units have been sold out? Funny that if there were more left they wouldn't order more to sell since they filled all of their pre-orders and their is still more demand.
If Mr. Aiko Oishi knows that much then he must know who makes it..something fishy

means they only had a few - this was part of a production say the factory was supposed to make 5000 but were able to come out with 4,950.
the extrA 50 went to employees and out the back door.

Has Mr. Oishi specified what kind of model/toy this 1/18 Tomcat is? BBI like, RC model, display piece, retractable gear, et al?
Shin's wishlist for 1/18 and 1/32 with retractable landing gear and more:

F-14 Tomcat, F-8 Crusader, A-4 Skyhawk, F-105 Thunderchief, A-6 Intruder, F-15C, F-15E Strike Eagle

Geez getting any information on anything 1/18th is like pulling teeth. If 1/18th is dying you can squarly blame it on the manufacturers. I think people are tired of waiting for any hint of info or product and just move on to other things. I know I'm sick of it myself.

Hell, I've already sold off most of my collection that is all the extra's I have, the repaints. Probably, within the next six months if nothing new comes about or no real intell of anything new I'm going to sell the rest off and keep collecting either 1/32 or my Sci-fi stuff. That market seems to be opening up.

HOT NEWS!!!!!

I just got a message from someone claiming they're the ones producing the 1:18 F-14. He called, asked for me, claimed he was in the process of making the 18th F-14 and then said I might see one on 12/25/08. It's kind of odd though, the caller ID listed the number as (000)000-0000 and the number belonging to a Mr. S Claus????? this is very very strange, but I'll let you know if it shows up.

I just missed out on an FOV 1/16 Peiper King Tiger on ebay by $5---and the buyer then paid $260 to have it shipped to Spain.
I'm waiting on news on the 1/18 F-14 before I decide to buy a Century Wings 1/72 F-14 in the same paint scheme as the 1/18 F-14.
My niece asked what I wabnted for Christmas and I emailed her a direct link to Amazon.com for THE GUNS OF NAVARONE-COLLECTOR'S EDITION---and she ordered the wrong @&$**@ dvd---THE GUNS OF NAVARONE-SPECIAL EDITION.

So I am not in a good mood.

So..."ditto" for me, too. We want the truth , the whole truth and nothing but the truth on the 1/18 F-14.

No, everyone is kicked back with a bucket of popcorn (or a bag of Doritos!) waiting for the next development.

Kinda like "wait and see" mode.

Hopefully no news is good news.
