Yes. A matter of fact I have never seen the desert storm issue at Target. TRU, yes but Target no.dragon53 wrote:Has anyone seen FOV's 1/32 M60 Patton in NATO paint scheme at Target?

I found the new 1/18 M-16 halftrack at the new Target on 150th and Meridian last night. They had two, but I passed on both. These look awfully toy-like compared to the 21C release. Perhaps in the future I will buy a few and attempt a conversion to the 75MM SP version...
Hopefully Tigers are close behind!

Ok, I've been observing the Bravo Team distribution flow for 3 months now in both LA and OC, and its rather alarming that none of the Abrams and Bradleys have shown up in any of the Targets within 1 mile of me. Instead they are all being stocked up at only certain places, even more peculiar is the Abrams, as it is only found in 3 Targets out of 15 in LA and 2 Targets out of 8 in the OC.
It seems that most Targets will not stock up the "big box" tanks (Abrams and Tigers) but only the "small box" tanks (Bradleys and Shermans), and even if they did stock the "small box" tanks, most of them are not stocking any Bradleys. For an appearance ratio of the Bradley, 6 out of 15 Targets have it in LA and 2 out of 8 in the OC...
Looking at how it is, I think this will also affect the Tiger's distribution since its a "big box" tank, and maybe even the Strykers and M16 MGMC.
Oh well, at least the price point for the Abrams is still holding at $29.99 in SoCal.

OK, so things are not quite perfect in that So Cal dreamland, now are theySky Ray wrote:Ok, I've been observing the Bravo Team distribution flow for 3 months now in both LA and OC, and its rather alarming that none of the Abrams and Bradleys have shown up in any of the Targets within 1 mile of me. It is a similar story a ways up north in the Central Valley. Of the six Targets in the Fresno area, about three of them have a mixture of the FOV Shermans and Bradleys, with the rest just having the Shermans. All stores have at least two 1:18 FOV vehicles, of the aforementioned types. I hope not to see the Abrams as that would be a restock of last year's items and not do much good in paving the way for new releases.
As of yet, no M-16s, though I'm not too worried about that vehicle.

Tman, you would have to be pretty hungry to want the FOV M-16. Trust me.

I found the FOV M-16 Halftrack on Friday and said what the hell $20.00.
The details are ok but it doesn't have the quality that 21st's has. The front wheels don't have an inner side wall, they're hollow just like the Hasbro Indy Truck and Staff car, doors and hood don't open. Quad 50's do turn 360 and go from horizontal striate up 90 degrees.
With some weathering and some equipment and figures it will have a place with the rest of my 1:18th armor.

Quad Limp...?
Good to hear they're on the Island, I'll probably be picking one up (we didn't expect anything earth-shattering in terms of detail did we? ), so the big question for me is, how do the MGs rate? Are they droopy, or do they actually come close to having straight barrels...

C44, Good to hear from you. The Quad... shes a no Limp. FOV did a good job on the 50cal guns, they are made from a harder plastic and just a hair larger then the ones on 21st's Quad.
I don't know about your AO but here in Nassau I've only seen 2 M-16's, but if your looking for Abrams and Bradlys (both camo schemes) we got em by the ton. What are they thinking. Anyway if you find any Tigers let me know.

Come out, wherever you are...
It's reassuring the QC folks at FOV haven't been laid off...I remember seeing promo pictures of the 32 scale stuff that actually showed bent MGs---not the way to get a buzz going about a future release! Re: Tigers If I see 'em, I'll post pronto...Lord knows, I've been looking!

Found a single FOV M-16 Halftrack at one of my local Target stores. It really doesn't look too bad, but as has been noted, is very toyish when compared to the 21c version. While all the FOV vehicles are behind their 21c counterparts in terms of overall detail, this one just struck me as being very much so. After all, in 2006, I got the 21c M-16 with its far superior detail for only a couple dollars more. So, its a no-go for me on this vehicle

I also found the new 1/18 FOV M-16 at my local Target and I also passed on it. If the vehicle had been some other variant of the halftrack, I would have gotten it because it had been different.
Are the Toy MFGs too afraid to try something different?
I understand the cost in producing a totally new vehicle and it just sitting on the shelf, but us collectors are HUNGRY for new!

Don't worry on the M-16, you are not missing anything. At the very least, travel around to one of the many TRUs in So Cal and hunt down the 21c version. (I recall seeing one a month ago or so at the Valencia TRU and at the Monrovia TRU. It may cost $10 more, but is a far superior vehicleSky Ray wrote:The Bradleys are finally becoming more widely available in LA.
No luck on the M-16, I think someone beat me to the punch at the border cities...

Thanks for info, but I checked Monrovia last week and they don't have any more M-16s. Last time I saw a 21CT M-16 was back in the Huntington Beach TRU, I'll head over there to get it.tmanthegreat wrote:Don't worry on the M-16, you are not missing anything. Went to six Targets in the metro area in the last two days. The fifth Target, in Lee Summit , Mo. had two or three of the M16s. I picked up one for now. Kind of surprised me that this Target had them. In addition they also had two M1, a M2 and a M4. I thought the M16 would only show up once the shelves were bare.
