Nice rocket launcher jeep.

Post by hotrodrock » Sat Oct 11, 2008 8:47 am

This should look pretty good with 1/18 figures. Been to the Danbury Mint site a lot but never noticed the two 1/16 jeeps thay have. Think I spend too much time looking for unusual Axis vehicles and not enough on Allies vehicles. Did a search and it certainly existed. Don't know if it actually saw action or not.

These are nice. I opted for the other Jeep with just the 50 cal and removable soft top. Highly detailed. The little pic just doesn't do it justice.

I've got an Aussie Gi Joe sitting in it, and the scale looks good. Had it parked next to my 1:18 Mercedes Staff car, and I really can't tell it's a different scale.

I opted for the rocket Jeep. I've been looking for one for a few years, after like a dope, I passed on an offer for a custom 1/6 rocket Jeep from a guy I had just met, on the left coast. 1/16 will do just fine.

I just feel that after the 88 and the KT, and maybe a rare few releases, we are not going to see more ground vehicles in 1/18 so the future might be in 1/16, and of course 1/6 for a few vehicles and dollies by the ton. New 1/6 figs are just awesome.

My kind of collector. I have never limited myself to one scale. I have a lot of 1/32 and 1/18 armor. I guess everything that FOV and 21st has released. 10 1/16 tanks and looking for more. And I have a ton of 1/6 figures. A couple of the 1/6 GI Joe halftracks and a dozen or so jeeps. And a dozen or so 1/18 planes. Even have a few of the 1/72 scale armor. I enjory it all.

Just received the Rocket Launcher Jeep. Super little toy.

Metal with rubber wheels.
Steering wheel turns the front axle.
Rockets raise and lower by a working 1/6 crank next to the driver.
Complete detailed engine.
Firing detonator on the pass seat floor.
Working armored windows.
Canvas cover for the rocket "pod".
1/18 figs look pretty nice next to the Jeep.
1/18 vehicles look good next to this Jeep except, of course the 1/18 Jeeps.

As with the Cabbage Patch Dolls. With this Jeep comes an "official" Certificate of Title with the vehicle owner inserted by Danbury Mint as the first owner returning the application for title..

Anybody want to see pics? or comparison pic, just say what you want to see.

This baby ranks up there with my prized toys.

Looks great unless you mix Jeep scales.
