Hi my name is David and I’m a modelalcoholic.
.....didn’t work.
The problem is that I’m already extremely bad at remembering names and now I have the added issue of confusing which real name belongs to which handle.

It is great to hear from you, although I have to be honest and say that one of the main reasons I got into this scale (apart from the size of the models, see it does matter) in the first place was because of the working landing gear and would gladly trade off working ailerons, elevators, flaps, folding wings, opening panels/gun bays and even rudders to try and keep them. I have always felt that many of these other so called working features have just been plane annoying what with aileron, elevator and flap droop all being major visual issues, the fact that the elevators on nearly all aircraft can move independently of each other and sag at different rates is a case in point.
All that said if it comes down to having a Skyraider with plug-ins or no Skyraider at all then I'll take the A-1 anyway she comes (or any other plane for that matter).
One question I do have in regards to the landing gear plug-ins is will the gear doors also be supplied in fixed raised and lowered positions, or will they still be hinged, I ask this as I am already toying with the idea of re-engineering working landing gear on the A-1 when she arrives, perhaps using a Corsair to steal a pivot mechanism from.
Having said all that I must also admit that I have always had a thing for aircraft that look basically the same in the air as they do on the ground and this is why I like helicopters, seaplanes and the smaller scout/recon aircraft, as so many of these aircraft have fixed gear and also goes to explain why I also like Stuka’s so much (a D or G model is what is missing). A not so subtle hint: with no working gear these aircraft types should be cheaper to make!
Thanks again for the update, hey I'm still expecting a visit down-under from you and the miss's one of these days, remember the BBQ (grill) is on standby and the beer is always cold just in case.

Its this weekend (Oct 11-12)

I'd love to get a look see at the new products.
Maybe we could have a GPXD Lunch in Denton.
I know Warhawker is just across 35W from me, so a few in the area.
What do you say?
