Still nothing new in the Columbus area. I keep searching every weekend and NADA....Only the first two waves. Oh well, sooner or later I will see them in my AO. (I hope)

A few weeks ago in a neighboring town some distance from mine. It was there with young Indy and Indy with MP-40. None of the other figures...

I wonder why target is not putting out wave 3 yet? i went to 3 targets today and there is like 3 to 4 figs per peg :? one target has only one peg full and 3 empty pegs. The wms down here still have FULL pegs of waves 1 & 2.

The only wave three figure I have found is the MP40 Jones at the newest Walmart in the area. I have been there twice on different Sunday morning to find the IJ picked over. The other Walmarts are stuffed with old stuff.

Indy Figures

Post by dandaman » Tue Jul 29, 2008 5:44 pm

The Indy figures in the DFW area have not been moving. This may be a good thing in the long run. If they ever go to clearance it will be a free-for-all for the figure hunters. I know I'll be first in line.

Those still out there looking for TLC figures should go to the Wal-Mart in Covina. They have 4 figures of Indy with MP-40. I tried looking for Vogel, Elsa, and Jones Sr. but can't find them, it's possible they might restock them, as this is the only Wal-Mart I've seen that isn't overflowing with IJ figures on the pegs. They also have 4 Troop cars on the shelf too.

Hmm... My brother doesn't live too far from there (though I'm a 250 mile drive). Perhaps its time to pay him a visit

Northern California Report: I hit the Walmarts at Dixon, Vacaville, and Fairfield. No wave 3 at all. They even had boxes in the isles for restocking and I looked at all the labels. No wave 3. The pegs are still packed with waves 1 and 2, so yeah I wonder if they would put them out, even if they had them in the back.

Yeah, they had another Q & A with Hasbro on toynewsi.com. I'm not going to comment, you all can read it for yourselves. Here's the link.

It's ridiculous. They're basically admitting the line is screwed and they're trying to blame consumers for not buying ten Mutt figures a piece thanks to their sub-moronic distribution.

The fact that they're saying they won't get to a Marcus figure is absurd.

I guess that means there won't be a second Last Crusade wave, since, aside from Donovan, he's the most obvious figure to make from that film.

They killed their own line thanks to their stupidity.

A shame, since the figure themselves are generally great.

I finally got Henry and Vogel yesterday from HTS and I'm delighted with the figures.

I didn't want to be the bearer of bad tidings, I just thought everyone should know. Unfortunately that's what you get when you're dealing with a kids line of toys. The figures themselves are great and we as collectors could definitely see how extensive the line could be. But because there's no money in it for the executives who make the decisions, we the collectors are the ones left holding the bag, i.e. empty bag with no figures. I'm not going to rant any more about this, it is a real shame. I just hope they keep making figures, but I seen this coming with the first wave release. I say we should just take what we can get.

Spotted the Cairo Thugs 2-pack at the Pasadena Target. Only 1 pack on the peg through.

Thanks for the heads up tosborne. I am with you, it doesn't take a CEO to see that the IJ line is dying on the pegs. My only hope is there is enough product in the supply chain to allow me the figures from the Last Crusade I want and have not been able to find.

On the plus side, perhaps these will end up at KB toys 3 for $10... 8)

Went to a Wal Mart today while on a road trip. They had the new double pack with the two Cairo thugs and had at some time put out an aisle display for the Indy figures. Someone had already gone through it, so if there were any of the new figures, they are long gone now.

I'm annoyed with Hasbro at the moment

When this line came out Hasbro appeared to be using the same ambitious battle plans they used for the various Star Wars lines. No surprise that it didn't quite work out that way..

Hope this doesn't kill the cloth covered cargo truck or a second wave of Vogels.

Perhaps they could just slide the IJ team members onto a WWII / Military project team, pop out some more accurate germans/russians, a tank or two and hope nobody notices.. ;)

According to a poster at the Indy site wellofthesouls.com, 2 new 2009 vehicles have shown up in Wal Mart's computer.

Given the precarious state of the line, it's no guarantee, but it would be beyond awesome to see these guys make it to the shelves -

the "Crystal Skull" duck and the "Raiders" Flying Wing.

Start buying those Mutts, folks, the future depends on it!

You know, I should have preordered the Vogel and Henry Jones Sr. figures when I had the chance

BTW, the new truck looks nice. That fabric covering adds an excellent touch of realism. Not sure if I'll get one, but it does look good 8)
