i came acroos this model while surfing at HOBBY LOBBY.COM click on the spitfire photo and scroll down to photo of b25. for $299 for the super detailedversion it looks like a steal when i see what f18:s going for on e-bay,plus the fact that 21century will be yrs away if ever from releasing theirs&due to shortae of new stuff in our hobby i am going to have go at thisone. check out the images of the detail items. i don"t plan on building it as a flyer but for static display, even the scale gear looks good. also there is a nice de hav mosquito there &bristol beaufort etc. in checking the scale they look awfully close to 1/18 but could be slightly larger, but when comparing to the wingspan of my stuka it looks to me like it will fit into my collection rela well. if i am wrong scale wise i am sure i will hear about it from forum members, but hey to each his own in these lean times of availability.

i've got both the b-25 and the beaufighter. They're both about 1/17 and both are quite nice kits.
The mosquito is 1/13 and too large for my tastes.

if you go to web link indicated and watch video of built up flyer,i think you agree yor 1/18 plastic would.nt last that long.also their is a compete pictorial build of this bird on rcgroup.com under electric scale warbirds. i for one are going to order one ,as one of our forum members was kind enough to mention he has one are about 1/17 scale.i am sure that you could go further in adding details if one wished.it would be ineresting to see what PICLEHAUBE could do with his lastest skills at casting. with such a shortage of new pieces this and the beafighter give a new shot of fresh air to those whom wish to take a breath.

the styrofoam is like coffee cup styrofoam. It's a bit stronger but just as easy to ding. So they have to be handled with care. These foamy planes aren't as good as XD planes. But they aren't bad and cover topics we may well never see in 1/18.
