Funny, 'cause apparently Gary can't see anything wrong with those pictures. And, yes, now that I've seen the model, I've realised that what I thought was a shadow on Gary's pic is actually the dreaded glue streak. The problem is he still doesn't acknowledge the glue is there, even though it's PLAINLY VISIBLE IN PERSON (much more so than in any picture Gary or I could post). To me that says A LOT about where he's coming from.parrish333 wrote:KOF: Yes, anyone can see the discoloration/glue spot in the picture that Gary posted on eBay. Same for the missing antenna and MG. If Gary overlooked them, you at least had your chance to study the pic and find the same. That's your chance to study the item for problems, just like others here do our best to see any problems through the plastic window of the box at WM or TRU. Sometimes you miss something, and sometimes you just can't see the problem. In this case, most of the issues that are driving you nuts are in plain sight from the provided pic.

And as for is it worth $60? I dunno - I'm sure you could tell us. When you were scouring e-bay for flawless S1 grey tigers, did you find any in better condition for the same $ or less? Obviously not or we wouldn't be having this discussion. B/c as everybody here has said, by your standards there are no flawless S1 grey tigers. Pretty much all of these models in the ~$100 range are going to have what you consider a flaw.
I didn't go to e-Bay looking for a loose Tiger I. I saw Gary's BST thread where he stated he had some items for sale on e-Bay, which is slightly different, don't you think?
Surprise, surprise. I do NOT have an e-Bay account.

And I didn't offer him sixty dollars because I couldn't find it cheaper on e-Bay, I offered him that money because Gary's a respected board member whom I thought I could trust and I was buying other models from him. Since shipping costs to Spain are steep, I thought I could cut down on shipping costs by securing that grey Tiger from him too. THAT'S THE ONLY REASON I BOUGHT A LOOSE ITEM FOR THE PRICE OF A MIB ONE.

Oh, sure, the you-want-a-museum-quality-piece canard. No, I don't want a museum quality piece, I simply want something in line with the price I paid.parrish333 wrote:As previously mentioned, if that's not acceptable, then there are premium models you can buy where somebody is handcrafting it specially just for you and your concerns.
Is it that difficult to understand?
