21st Sniper & Machine gunner
21st Sniper & Machine gunner
Don,t know if this has been posted but I found the U.S. 30 cal. machine gunner and the U.S. sniper at WalMart last night.
The machine gunner has molded legs in a sitting position and the sniper has the reular molded legs.
These came right out of the blue as I went to WM looking for the IJ Russians of which I picked up 6. It was a regular motherlode!

New Sets
Yes the machine gunner is the same as the one pictured.
Sorry I don,t know how to post pics.
Forgot to mention, I also got a German, name, kurt Schroder, same as the other new German with the molded kneeling position, except this one has an assault rifle.
The name on the U.S. machine gunner is Dwight "Farmer" Wilson and the sniper is Chuck "Bullseye" Betz.
The sniper is just a GI with molded kneeling legs, no special weapon other than an M-1 with a bayonet.
I checked a few other WalMarts & TRU in the area and nothing new.
I have been collecting X-18 since this line first appeared in 2000 and have never been the first to find something new!

So, wait, these new figures DON'T have articulated legs at all?
If that's the case, I'm seriously bumming out... I collect action figures, not statues. I'm gonna really be less into XD if they're going to a more statue-like toy line for figures. I mean, if that's the case, why collect these? Why not get into 1:32 or 1:35 which are generally much more detailed little statues, and more affordable.

JJ, I don't think that is the case based on the photos from the 21C toyfair. It appears that the sniper comes with legs at least.

I'm hoping you're right... The early descriptions just didn't sound too promising. I dig the pre-posed legs, don't get me wrong, but without the articulated legs, it really sorta limits the figures to me. Anxious for photos...olifant wrote:JJ, I don't think that is the case based on the photos from the 21C toyfair. It appears that the sniper comes with legs at least.
If nothing else, I'll nab them for the weapons and headsculpts, but I really do want to see the articulation remain.
