Ages of Action Website

Post by Birddog » Thu Feb 14, 2008 9:08 pm

Looks like they've got the website up but there is still more to come it says. This line looks and sounds very promising. As you scroll through the pages that are currently available you can see what the packaging is going to look like. The Samurai is shown in the packaging with what looks like a nice compliment of weapons. There will also be a small hard cover mini book about the respective warrior in the package.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but after reading throughh the website, it sounds like there are more figures coming in this line? If so, this line could give many the earlier historical figures they've been wanting.

Here's the website link:

Great looking stuff and with Osprey's involvement will be very good indeed. I'm glad to see that 1/18 is starting to get stuff that the 1/6 crowd have enjoyed for some time now.

Good Catch BD. I like that it says we can expect subjects from more recent times too - would love some WWI soldiers with all that detail. :D

Now this is awesome! I thought they were going to be cheesy, but having studied medieval armor for much of my younger years, things seem absolutely correct! I will be getting some of the medieval knights, possibly Samurai as well. Mainly because I have a love affair with armor. I just don't like it when they confuse jousting/parade armor with battle armor. =/

Probably the only website for this sort of toy/collectable genera that quotes Virgil on the opening page 8) I'm down for a legion of the Roman figures - well, not quite that many

...hope this sheds some light for folks thinking about these new historical figures.

The reps at FOV tell us these will be released in August as scheduled and will NOT be available in the mass markets - most likely due to targeting of the collector market and the price point.

All-in-all, these look to be fantastic figures and should go very well with bbi's Warriors Of The World series static figures. :)

Awesome news other than they won't be that easy to just go and pick up.

Hope these do well though.

I was interested to see where the Ages of Action line will be going so I emailed the FOV rep that was posting on the Joe Customs forum.

He replied that specialty retailers will be carrying them starting in August and they are hoping to catch mass retailers later as the line gets out there.

He also replied to my questions about the 1/18 Bravo Team line and there is more coming for 2009. All new figures and the 1/18 Stryker at some point in 2009.

Though you all might want to know.
