Very cool!! I am glad to see the return of mid thigh articulation,, I felt the Modern, BOB and USMC figures lacked some pose-ability...tomd

I just bought the US Marines figures at Wal-Mart today and when I looked on the back of the packaging they have pictures of the Marines and of the Japanese figures along with their names. There are 6 Japanese soldiers listed. The pictured figures don't have the shoulder articulation. The names are:
Sgt. Kudo (machine gunner w/head band)
Pvt. Higashiyama (has a rifle and grenade)
Pvt. Ekiguchi & Pvt. Yamato (these 2 look exactly alike, have submachine gun)
Lt. Watanabe (has a pistol)
Sgt. Akamatsu (rifle w/bayonnet and has soft cap)

Just found this interesting and was wondering if anybody else noticed this. I hope this means they will be out very soon.

The Japanese figures have been on the Marine card backs since the Marines figures were first released in January - so thats rather old news and caused quite a buzz back then. The pictures on the Area21 site are how the final products will look. It would not surprise me if we saw the Japanese figures come out sometime during the summer!

- I'd be surprised if we didn't. I think they are pretty close. Even bbi's ETA for their figures in August doesn't seem that far as we creep into May... :?

This is the only forum I do - so I heard it here :D
Ranger did some research a while back and bbi reported August for their WWII guys, "if ever." At the time it wasn't even worth thinking about but as summer approaches it's worth remembering
They could have been BSing but at the rate they put stuff out I wouldn't hold my breath for them to show anytime sooner....
