You may also have to remove the wing cannon and put a sand filter over the intake (as seen below). Even without the modifications, an XD ME-109G would still look pretty awesome in a desert scheme!

Thought you would recognize the plane, Ski! They make me sad as well :( My younger brother is so lucky to be studying in London right now - unfortunantly he spends all his free time traveling on the continent as opposed to the wonderful British Isles! I was lucky to go back to London again for a week at the end of March. Armed with a digital camera this time, I took photos of every little thing!

I recognize all 3:

The 190A at the Imperial War Museum
The 109A Trainer at the RAF museum
And Black 6 at the RAF museum as well. Unfortunately because of it's accident by an idiotic retired Air Chief Marshall pilot prior to going to the museum, the plane has a 109E aft fuselage. The thing was 100% original up to the accident. That sux..........
