okay, so i got the lowdown on the actual scales of chinese models on ebay from a seller who speaks good english and has been very honest about scales. heres my first email from him (the relevant parts):

i've got the anti aircraft gun and it's definitely bigger than 1/18. I think it's 1/16. Nice piece nonetheless.

the bike is nice......it's a chinese copy of the bmw sidecar combo from wwii germany. With the IJ one coming soon i'll wait for that , even though this one is a beauty.

The type 90 AAA guns is sweet. Too much, but sweet.
