Second string warbirds

Post by pickelhaube » Fri Feb 08, 2008 9:43 pm

OK guys, Time for another poll. No telling when the B-25 Dauntles or other WW2 planes will come out. Most of the first string fighters have been done P-51, Me -109 Spitfire and the like. What about second string ? Here are some of the ones I would like to see. I know my list may not be your lists but here goes.
U. S.
Wildcat
P-39

Germany
Me-163 Admiral ?
He-162
Ho-229

USSR
Mig-3
Stormavic

Japan
Kate
Val

UK
Tempest
Huricane
Of my list what would be your top 3?
Kirk Douglas : Mine hit the ground first
John Wayne : Mine was taller

Bell P-39 Airacobra, or a P-63 Kingcobra in Russian markings.

P-39 Airacobra hands down. I wouldn't mind a P-63 as well but the P-39 saw far more action then the Kingcobra. Besides, just imagine the re-paint possibilities. You have Russian, French, U.S., British, and even a captured German scheme if my memory serves me right.

I'll take a Tempest, with an IL-2 Stormovic, and a side of P-39 Airacobra please......

I'd love to see a Ho-229 Horten flying and a Me-163 Komet in 1:18th.

I think we will see a 163 from Pegasus in the future. It fits their size niche. From the big 3 I would like to see a Wildcat, Typhoon, & P-39. I hope they will come. You never know. FOV might bump their 32 scale molds into XD.

Kinda hard to decide...

A Russian plane would be great. (Would probably lead to figures and tanks.)

Another Japanese plane would be be cool too.

Stormavic, Kate, and ME-163.

Kevin.

Fw190A

Post by M McCracken » Sat Feb 09, 2008 6:34 pm

Forget about the 'first string', 'second string' stuff. There is only one WWII fighter that should be at the top any list. And, that is the Fw190A. It's absolutely ridiculous it hasn't been made by now. 21st Century made a bad decision releasing a 'D' version, instead of the 'A'. That being said....
