POST ALL FOV 1/18 FINDS AND DISCUSSION HERE!
Are their bloomers matching colors, too...?
Thanx for update, Normandy...I'm not gonna hit more than 1 Target tonite cause I'm developing a fetish for those cute little checkout girls in the requisite but not quite matching red outfits...no need to ask the obvious, where are the damn tanks...

The Bradleys are on sale at $17.99. I've been to 4 Targets this week and each one had 4 Bradleys each (2 desert, 2 NATO).
I also saw some US WW II figures, but no Abrams, Shermans or Tigers.
To be honest about it, I'M GETTING SICK AND TIRED OF TRAVELING ALL OVER THE CITY IN LOUSY WEATHER LOOKING FOR THEIR TANKS. If FOV and Target want the new 1/18 line to be successful, they're doing a poor job of it by not making the merchandise available.

Much like the situation with 21c at WM, i'm sure FOV has zero control over their product distribution at Target. They just deliver the product to Target and it's up to Target which stores receive the product.
So, rather than get frustrated with FOV, which will do nothng to imporive the situation, contact Target management and ask them to stock the product at your local Target stores....

i never met an airplane i didn't like...
Target had reservations about stocking WWII items (why i have no idea).....which is why they weren't interested in any of BBI's WWII items, only their modern stuff.
So Normandy is probably right that they are testing the waters with the FOV WWII items, to see how well it is received before they go whole hog, as they have with the FOV modern line..

Here is a little tip on when they will "refill" their shelves @ Target.
If the price tags on the shelf or pegs have silver or grey dot stickers on them, that signifies that stock has been out more than a week. It is suppose to be reordered and filled within few days to a week. I saw this on the FOV WWII figs tag yesterday and asked a Target employee. But even after scanning the tag, the employee couldn't tell me really "when" the product would be replaced. Problem with the Tanks are some Targets had red discount stickers on them, which I would think means - no more stock coming... a discontinued sku. I work for a company as a buyer and we turn off parts all the time (discontinued). So, who knows?

I telephoned 2 Targets and both told me they had the Sherman in stock---but they only had Bradleys.
That's 5 Targets in one week---all Bradleys.
I assume there's a lot of unsold Bradleys that Target is trying to get rid of with a $17.99 sale price before they replace them with newer Shermans and Tigers.

I hope they do sell off the Bradleys and replace them with Tigers and Shermans.
I went to 3 Targets today, no WWII armor and only 1 US WWII figure and yes I bought him......just couldn't let him hang there with all the "out of no where" GI Joes. The other day no Joes, today Joes at all 3 locations up the..... well I think ya get it.
So it seems this FOV 1:18th thing at Target is still up in the air at least around here.

This morning I went to three Targets that I usually don't include in my rounds and was pleasantly surprised. The first stop didn't have any 1/18 FOV at all, not even a single Bradley. The next two Targets each had two Shermans in the solid green color. As I already have one of this variety, I only picked up one of them. Out of the four that I saw today, two of them had gun barrels that were detached. I am not sure if the barrels are glued in place or just press-fit, but it might be something to look out for.
It is what it is.
Go Big Blue!!!
Re: still up in the air at least around here Well, at some point a few weeks ago I wondered if we'd see the Pats in the Super Bowl before we saw Tigers in Target...I didn't say the Giants in Bowl XLII cause that might have been a long, long wait (beware the jinx)...well you gotta have faith, if the Giants made it to Arizona, Panzers will make it to LI...!
PS I'm tired of cruising Targets, way too much red in the place, all the help are starting to look like disciples of Chairman Mao

Shermans on the Island
Just saw 2 Shermans at the Farmingdale Target, one in each scheme. This is that pattern I was talking about in my above post. This location had 2 Bradleys over the weekend, they must have been sold. Today the 2 Shermans....Sooooooooo I hope we'll see Tigers in the near future.
How much are the Tigers going for? cause these Shermans were $20.00 each, I thought they were at $30.00+ Things are looking good!

POKEYJTC:
I saw some WW II figures, but I've been to 5 Targets in 1 week. I think the WWII figures were either at the Memorial or Galleria/San Felipe Target.
I saw some BBI paratrooper figures on clearance for $1.48 at the Target on Westheimer one block west of the Wal-Mart one week ago. They were at the end of the aisle under "clearance" merchandise.

I think that it was the one on 290/Hollister (pretty sure) or the one on 290 in Cypress as those were then ones I visited. I went to the one on 1960/Eldridge and they did not have them.pokeyjtc wrote:Acisne,
What Target have you seen the WW2 figs at in Houston? I haven't been able to find them in Houston yet and would like to get a few.
I think that the store on 610/Meyerland has some last week and they had tags up/space/empty pegs for the dual packs.
Happy Hunting!

Thanks for the replies fellow Houstonians. I was just at the San Felipe Target and the Westhiemer near Dunvale Target and they didn't have any WW2 FOV 1:18 stuff. I've hit just about all the Targets in West houston and Katy, and Sugarland and I'm coming up empty-handed. I'll check the ones on 290 as I haven't been up in the part of town for a while. Thanks for the recon tips.
