The box size is a new size that is required because the thing is sooo big. In fact the 88 has the same problem in terms of size. So a new box size is going to be created and added to the family of products. As of now I do not have a lot of information in regards to what stores are getting these. There might be the off chance that only TRU and online will see them but I am not certain so don't quote me on it. I would also expect a bit of an increase on these items over the typical vehicle price. So we all might want to brace ourselves for that when it comes. There is also another little secret about the King Tiger that I am hoping to be able to shed light on pretty soon.

I have been told that this is one fearsome product in person! Someone mentioned earlier that it sounded like it might be a 2-3 months out, that does compare with my notes, so yes most likely 7 to 9 weeks to go. A little too early for a countdown but soon!

Wonder if the secret is a interior along the lines of the tiger 1? Would be cool if the King Tiger had as much detail if not more than its little brother huh? IF it does I would want to be able to buy a full crew to man the thing!
Question about the size of it in 1/18th how long would it be and how wide? A friend of a friend has the Tamiya 1/16th(i think its that size)R.C one and that was BIG.So i guess I am just trying to grasp how big this is going to be.
Could not think of anything to put here.

Wonder if the secret is a interior

Really folks, go back to the first pics, look at the rear of the KT, blow it up and look at the engine door...it is hinged and it opens.

True the panther engine bay opened to reveal a empty cavity for no other purpose than to stash your XD funds from your better half.

BUT maybe this time there is an engine in there and if there is an engine...maybe...just maybe an interior, (that I HOPE will be more up to speed than the Tiger 1 interior)
The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.

An interior is a must, in my opinion. Even if it was as spartan as the Tiger I's interior, that would still be better than none in my opinion. However, the secret feature is probably something else like raising and lowering periscopes or something obscure like that

an xd KT would be about 10% smaller than your friend's 1/16 KT. I don't have the specs handy to give you exact dimensions. So it would be noticably smaller but still quite big.

From the sound of people's recent comments on the various Tigers it seems interiors are not that important to most people, and certainly not a "must." I think it is cool, but if they have to omit to keep costs down and sell more, than I am fine. An engine would be a nice compromise though. 8)

This is a good question. I have seen plenty of other armor next to a Tiger 1 but to my recolection but have never seen anything next to a King Tiger. Maybe another Tiger II or a Kubelwagon or Volkswagon.

The only way I could judge the size of the 1/18 Tiger II was compare it to the size of the 1/18 figures, as shown in 21st's site.

I hope I'm wrong, but it seems like the Tiger II is only a tad bigger than the Panther.

Man if this sucker has got a detailed interior I'll get multiples. That is the one thing I regret when I got the Tiger1, was that I only got one. :( But oh well, at least I do have the one at home to be proud of. :D

meh... I'll be getting a couple of them regardless of interior (probably no more than 2, how BIG are they?-huge). No one has speculated on price yet, could it be a $70 tank? for that matter, what do regular tanks sell for at TRU normally? I don't know (No TRU)

Nice pic EnemyAce 8) Regardless of interior i really dont care to much id like to still get one or two at some point. But to me interior really shouldnt matter i mean your only seeing the outside unless you actually go up to it and look inside of it. But that still would be pretty cool

I've got Tamiyas 1:16th Tiger II w/ Porsch turret, its size may give us an idea how big 21st's King Tiger will be in 1:18th scale...
Length: 25'' (exhaust to tip of main gun)
Width : 9''
Height: 7 1/4''
So it seems 21st's Tiger will be a hefty tank.
EnemyAce great pic! The Tiger and Sherman look to be the same height. Very cool I've never seen this photo.

As to the TRU cost question. when the Tiger 1 came out at TRU I paid $49.99 for it. But I do not recall how much the Sherman or Panther were back then, just that The tiger was a lot more.
