The TRU on OST and Kirby had a Flying Undertaker, Bunker Hill Corsair, USAF F-104 and a Seaman 109 all at $39.95.
Also a stack of BBI Corsair and OC olive P-51s at regular price.

You know, thats the same assortment of ac I saw here in Atlanta. I went back today and bought the bunker hill corsair- that makes 7 total in the basement- I liked the yellow on the cowl, the lighter shade of blue, like BBI offerings, and the lack of a white underside like the overwhelming majority of 'em. It'd be hard to justify another dark blue/white version with no outstanding differences. It was there, I had to get it, what else would 'ya do?

I have seen 3 Bunker Hill Corsairs at the 4 TRU around my area. I only saw one at about a dozen Walmarts when they were first released so I finally picked one up

I thought 21st released their Corsair in a paint scheme similar to BBI's Marine's Dream? I would love to see that one on the shelf instead of the Bunker Hill version.

Found only a MIG-15 and a P-40 at my Toysrus. Is minute paint blotches and scrapes on 21st century's model common? I was about to pick up the P-40 but the tail fin looked like it had a bit of plastic sheered off. On top of that, it also looked like there was a blotch of light blue paint on the cowl.

Could be old news by now, but my TRU now has a whole bunch of the new camo (tan) M16 Halftracks, and a couple of the re-painted PAK-40s.

They both look pretty sweet, but I still love my old S1 Halftrack from way back in the day, and I'm waiting on the 88 to be my truly definitive piece of German artillery. I just don't have the space or $$$ to buy these all up :( I have to choose carefully between the must-haves and nice-to-haves.

The TRU in South Portland, ME did not have any 21C 1/18 aircraft that I could see. There were several Daisy June Corsairs plus a Donald Duck Mustang, some Little Bird helos. XD offerings were slim and dated although I did pick up a few things I have been eyeing for some time. There wasn't any of the recent 1/32 stuff I covet either. In fact, the only "new" thing was the 1/6 German machine gun double header which I got because I thought it might look bitchin' in the hands of my daughters' Cy Girls...

I found a new Nam figure today

Post by Filbert62 » Sat Jan 12, 2008 12:28 pm

I have been picking up the 173rd AB Nam figures for the last few weeks here and there at TRU. I have found Mustand, Six Pack, CJ, and Bonehead...then today I see about 10 figures with the same name:
Pvt Joe "Dusty" D'Amato - this is guy has the M14 and Blooper gun grenade launcher. He is labeled the same "173rd AB Brigade and in the standard Nam package.

Has anyone else found different figures than the orginal release?
:?:
Thanks, Phil

Hit the silverdale WA tru no 1/18th planes at all still a boat load of jadgtigers(sp) couple long tom howiter things.
On the new side they had the Kursk defeat in the east sets and cant recall the name but it came with a brown looking M5 and the morter pit and some soldiers.
I bought the kursk one as I had not found a panther in 1/32 scale since I had restarted to collect them.
Could not think of anything to put here.

Nothing new at the TRUs around here.
About all they have in 1 18 would be the NAM figures and the 2 tone US halftracks. I wiped them out of DAK figures for my modifications :) Da General

New Nam figure?

Post by Filbert62 » Sun Jan 13, 2008 8:50 am

Not the best shot due to the flash, but you can see this is a new found at TRU - Clarksville, IN on 1/12/08.

Thanks, Phil

I apologize for the not proofing the messages

Just posted a link and as usual I got in a hurry! Sorry about the poor grammer. KY education at work!

I really didn't see anything new with this figure, but it seems interesting that 21st is producing new or different names if not new head sculpts of the figures.

Would like to see the R/C PBR someday!

Thanks, Phil

Thanks Phil!

Dusty appears to have the exact same equipment and accessories load out as Clarence "Mojo" Jackson.

I found a few VN "Mojo Jackson" and WWII German figures at TRU in Davenport IA.
Along with a Pearl Harbor P-40, Seaman 109, Corsairs, Smoke II, Quad trailer, and new halftrack.

While my local TRUs are not lacking 21c products by any means, there's been nothing really new. Certainly no $40 XD planes and I'm not anticipating them any time soon. I'm not really worried as they're all older releases that I have, but still it would be nice to see my local TRUs pull through in a timely manner once and a while

TRU here is noe full of restocked DAK and NAM figures - tons of 1:32 items - including marders galore, though those go quickly - i keep putting them down to get next time -
1:18 planes seem to be selling quickly - only plane left at two stores seems to be the 109 ....what a suprise

mmmm...interesting. I finally found XD aircraft at my TRU for the first time in 4 years!! They had the Undertaker P51, PH P-40, Smoke 104 and Chinese Mig 15. Obviously, they are packed as such per case. I guess there's something new to be seen at any given time, hehehehe.....

Thanks. I got to see her first hand this past Summer on my Airfield. I hope to jump from her one day in uniform :D

I wish they would make one in 1/18 scale. A very cool aircraft.
