Gotta get my hands on these.

BTW, I was shocked to see the Canadian Starfighter at WM last week. They haven't had XD planes since the Avenger last fall.

The Barnes figure has the best looking 1/18 shotguns I have seen.
I had to get an extra of him just for the shotgun.

Has anyone tried to swap heads on these Platoon figs?

I have 2 Platoon figures in my possession! Where are these things?!!!!!! Geez-

Well I might have to break down and get 21C to send me a box directly from them. I think I might have a couple cents left in the old favor bank! -LOL Man they sure are nice figures though aren't they! So all we need are some bad dudes right?

I have only seen 6 of the Platoon figures, now the Nam figures is another story. One location had 5 pegs full of them...... that should last well into '09.

Yes, we are desperately in short of some OpFor from both Vietnam and the Germans need some Eastern Front Russians and Brits to tangle with! ;)

yeah thats what scares me - I remember when the other series first came out ie OMG, D-Day, DAK - people bought the first wave and things were hard to find - so far in my area pegs are full and i bought the four I need!! Platoon will be out on the pegs for a long time keeping double packs and anything else new off the aisle - ...

plus that sunburned wave with Otto is still three pegs deep in most locations!!!

Count your blessing gentlemen. No Platoon, no Nam, no twin packs in the Great North West.

Or even the west for that matter. Most of my local Wal Marts are stocked full of the D-Day repaints with the lighter-color uniforms and really dark tans. Of course, those were new three or more months ago in most other areas of the country that have since gotten in the Platoon figures, Dual Packs, FOV Shermans, and a host of other items that they are tired of seeing

Tman, one ray of hope is the FOV Shermans are getting on the shelf up here. I have seen two, one each in two different Targets. I bought one and left the other as I found them pretty toy-like. Perhaps you will see them soon down south...

Where's Edward M-16 Hands...?

Post by c44 » Sun Feb 10, 2008 6:58 pm

Re: I have only seen 6 of the Platoon figures...they've been hitting the WMs in Suffolk in fair abundance, but they seem to be getting snatched up pretty quickly...don't know if it's the odd figure out in the random mix 21CT often ships, but the Johnny Depp guy seems to be the one least likely to warm the pegs (or maybe adoring female fans or even confused POC collectors are disproportionately snatching them up)... :)
for a while Mojo was the hardest AB to find out here, but then Stony Brook TRU got about 8 of them in...I have yet to see the new Nam Caucasian figure mentioned here that has the M-79 grenade launcher (was the name D'Amato...? I don't remember...)...or dual packs for that matter...PS finally scored a 2-tone FOV Sherman at the Targe, but I would have preferred the solid camo...Tigers, well, I gave up hoping for them...will report if I chance upon one...

Nor in Central CA, but I've got a set on the way thanks to Razor17019. I did find the Indiana Jones stuff and got my "pick of the litter" so I'm happy now

I gave up looking in the Sacramento area. One more trip to Walmart @ petrol at 4$ a gallon would make me too mad. eVilbay did me fine. 30$ for all four including shipping. But sadly I can't bring myself to open them up!
