Concerning Target's price for the FOV 1:18 Abrams, I just called Target and gave them the UPC code for my Abrams and asked for the price. The toy dept. clerk said it's still $29.99---the same price I paid for it the day after Thanksgiving.

I like the FOV better - thanks for the pics - went to my local target that had two desert schemes two days ago and they were all gone including the two forest camo. Only one Bradley left and they had four.
So I Finally picked up my LAV after years of passing on the high price at TRU.

Was there any differences between the ones at TRU two years ago and the ones at target? Different plastics? etc

The TRU LAV and the Target one are the same as far as the mould, figure, and accessories go. You are correct, however, on noting the different plastic. It seems that with the Target vehicles, BBI darkened the desert tan paint and added more subtle weathering. It also does not have that glossy shine. In my opinion, this gives the vehicles a more realistic look.

It's subtle but the driver's uniforms camouflage is different as well.

At first I thought you were pulling my leg, but that is indeed a new repaint for the Apache! I like the sharkmouth pattern. I don't think I've seen this in my area yet, but then I could have easily overlooked it given that at a quick glance it looks just like the old Apache.

I also checked two stores tonight to see if I overlooked it - nice pattern - i keep saying this - but man i'm glad I passed on the first apache - i like this one better.
Now for a BBI find - one target store in Fayetteville GA had a new mixture of about 15 hummers - both versions -recoiless rifle and the tow missle - usually you only see two or three - but a ton of hummers 4 abrahms and 4 choppers - two blackhawn and two apache - not really a new find but weird to see that much BBI.

FOV appears to be selling fast at Target - good thing for the tigers

well -hit another Target in Newnan GA snd found the same - a ton of the Super Humvees with recoiless rifle and tow - about 20 total and all for 13.98 with the red sticker clearance - the LAV's were 17.98 only four with bent guns - and I just paid 24.99 for one a couple days ago - opened it and threw away the receipt. No BBI Abrams but found the BBI shark mouth apache 6 of them.

I too popped into the toy section during a Christmas shopping frenzy :? I saw the Hummers on sale and bought one to change out the figure and donate it to Toys for Tots. I wonder if the clearance is for making room for the FOV Tiger Is and Shermans :?: One can only hope :P Da General

Now is the time of year to keep an eye on Target. They usually do a toy clearance the week or so before Christmas. Best example I have is the first year LOTR came out, there were figures that hadn't even been on the shelves yet that year on 50% off clearance.

I saw the Apache repaint today at Target. It looked pretty good, though not enough to make me buy another. Another Target in my area had BBI M1 Abrams and LAVs clearanced to $17.50. I don't need the Abrams, but could use another LAV perhaps...

just be careful STUKA, those LAV & Abrams are in low supply. Humvees are flooding some Target stores. so i grabbed first those Abrams first coz the other nearby Target don't carry them.

but i might wait on the next 75% off markdown for the humvees. :D

btw, STUKA, it's $12.48.... not $12.98....
well whatever, with sales tax and all...

i think the markdown just started today, they weren't there last night. so if your Target hasn't updated their prices, then check back either or the next couple of days.

Abrahms and LAV were $17.98 and the HMMVW were $13.98. I have all these so I am going to be a cheapskate and wait to see if they come down.

yeah, i saw a new wave assortment of the SW too. that store has that other (7th??) Legion clone trooper.

other than that, i'm seeing these bbi on clearance to be gone by the next couple of days. coz of the hardware upgrade for those 25th joe collectors.

I'll have to hit the two Targets that are in easy driving distance from me tomorrow.

I guess this is the final inventory clearance before Target stops selling BBI stuff altogether.

Marked down or not, the BBI prices for the LAV, Abrams, Apache and Blackhawk are discounts compared to what those same items sell for at small retail stores and what they sold for originally at TRU. Even with the $30 price tag, the helicopters are at a 50% markdown from the regular retail price, which usually runs at about $60 8)

I finally found 21st's Vietnam figures and picked up the pathfinder and British Paras. I REALLY like the bbi WWII US Paras. They look really sharp built up and ready to drop....

The Target in the College Grove shopping center(San Diego, Ca.) had M1s and Lavs's for $13 and Hummers for $10. Other Targets in the area had them for $18 and $15. Helos and figs regular price. No Tigers in sight  .
