1/18 RC Panzer IV
I just joined this club today and not to sure if this is the right forum for this topic. I've spent that last few weeks modifying an Forces of Valour 1/18 RC Panzer IV. I replaced the gear boxes with ones from a VS 1/24 tiger tank. Replaced the electronic with the Heng Long smoke and sound tank. I kept the turret motor and speaker from the Panzer IV but added the smoke generator and even jerry rigged an airsoft unit in (no gun elevation as there was no room). I used one of my upgraded guns with a madbull tight bull barrel which was lathed to give a taper to the barrel (gives a pretty hard punch and fairly flat trajectory over 30'). I used a muzzel brake for the barrel from a VS tiger (while not totally accurate the barrel looks pretty realistic for a 75mm L48) I replaced the one piece rubber tracks with the individual plastic linked tracks from a Heng Long Panzer III. While a bit wider than the stock tracks they just fit the drive sprokets. I of course painted the tank giving it a nice weathered look of a tank of the 1st SS Panzer Division. Hopefully I'll figure out how to put pictures here and get a few posted
