Wow, what goes around....
I didn't pick up any of the figures, as I'm mostly a vehicle kinda guy, and I didn't even see the corsair on sale.
But I bought one now!

Thanks Parrish!

GrilledCheese,
That's why this board is SO GREAT- the XD and X32 intel!

It may not be something you can use, but by letting the folks on the board know, someone else may benefit. And as you have pointed out, it may even reward the person the reports the find!

Now, will my TRU ever get those figures anytime soon... or the quad.50 trailer, or the pak 40 or the modern paratroops, or the VN figures, or what ever for that matter? Not likely and when they do, I'm sure they'll be at full price :?

Again, however, FOV and their modern line at Target really saved the day :D Just I hate getting bypassed, especially with TRUs being so few and far between...

Finding those guys at $.70 in the stores are even a better deal! That's the first time I've heard that an on-line clearance item was also available at the store. Great find! :D

Got mine too. Have not had a chance to really bash them or take pics, but I will.

Have to say though, that Hadley guy may be the best 1:18 scale modern figure ever. Only really two things ccould be better - he could come with an M4 variant, and have a working holster (bbi used to have these).

One complaint with all 3 is they all have backpacks and big holes in their back, but none of them are interchangeable. Why not have standard holes/pegs??

Got my figures in the mail yesterday too. Cool addition to the modern side of things.

I have to say that Omar Delgado's (Heavy Machine Gunner) bare arm sculpt is way better than the Navy Spec Ops figure's that was released in the last wave of modern bbi figures.

I agree with digger on the backpack construction. Nice sculpts of new backpacks, but wish the attachment method was a bit better or at least interchangeable.

I was able to swap heads with Hadley and Delgado on a quick check for bashing. The heads of both these figures appear to have the same peg design. I haven't checked them against any of the other bbi figures or the FOV figures. The head sculpt on the 10th Mtn. Div. soldier seems a little too big for his helmet too.

I'll try to get some pictures of them up tonight.

Out of the three figures, it's a tie for me between Hadley and Delgado for the best figure in the three. In all I think they are another great addition to our 1/18 modern figure selections.

Omar is cool but should have the 240, not the M60. Also because of his short sleeves you really can't army build with him although his gear is very nice and fits well. Both the helmets are awesome, and the fact that Hadley's strap doesn't break when you force helmets on is great!

All three of those guys heads are like the WWII and other modern guys that switch very easy.

For Omar, my plan was to detatch his arm right below the T-shirt (above the elbow) and use the same portion of the DEVGRU guy's bare arm so I could put various heads on him, but the plan was foiled when I saw that I had two male pieces between Omar's upper arm and the other guy's lower.

Easy enough fix on the M60. As far as the arms go, have you considered doing an entire arm transplant? I haven't tried it yet, but that is what I'm thinking I'll do.

You can do an entire arm transplant no problem. And you can also do the same with the earlier arms, though the camo is a bit off obviously.

Since none of the 3 come with either an M4 or M16 I was thinking of calling on Marauder John for some. It is going to feel weird paying more for the weapon than for the figure but I can't have a squad with just snipers and machine gunners.

Has anyone received their Corsair that was on sale on TRU website for $27? I just got mine but it was the checkered noise not the Marine's Dream. The Marine's Dream was the a/c pictured on website when I bought it.

Yep, I got my Corsair in today and it was the checkered nose version in a box plastered with pictures of the Marine's Dream version. But since this is the first BBi Corsair I've ever bought, I'm definitely gonna keep it. It totally blows away my old 21st Century Corsair.

(And after all, it was on sale!)

There is only that one. We're all hoping for some more Brits sans chutes.

Was slightly bummed last week when all you guys were ordering $.70 figures while I was getting a camera shoved down my throat. But, was lucky enough to score two figs today, including the one I really wanted for $.70 at a B&M TRU.

Great figures, but I have to say FOV has better modern helmets.

Almost picked up the Brit paratrooper, but he looks like he has some really, really funky leg articulation.

I was thinking the same thing. It was pretty annoying that the $0.70 figures disappeared online so fast, but then they showed up at one of the TRUs in my area for $0.70 this past week. At first I didn't notice they were on sale when the cashier rang up my purchase (I was also getting a cammo PAK-40) and figured she had not entered everything in. Upon finding out the price, however, I went back for more. The BBI figures are well worth the normal $5 price and even moreso for $0.70 :D

I do also like the FOV helmets better - and those figures themselves are equal to the quality of the BBI figures, in my opinion!
