Welcome to the board. The security is much tighter now as in the past there was a lot of spam postings. It is nice to have a nother member.
A couple of questions; What scale doyou like best and what era is your favorite?
Thanks, great to be here.
I understand the security. I help admin a gaming site and at times it seems that all we do is try to keep out spammers.
I'm into the 1/18th scale, all the way. I eye the 32nd scale every time I'm browsing about, but have yet to go there.
WW2 is my favorite arena. Like most everyone else here I'm sure, I'm a WW2 history buff so detail is always of great importance.

I think he just means that 21c is showing that their priority isn't PR or talking to folks, however great the interest might be, is all.

I am sure 21st is doing every thing they can to get the site up and running, maybe they are upgrading the site also.
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

I wonder if it is because of the wildfires and they had to shut the site down cause of everyone evacuating. Or like VMF115 said they could be upgrading the site. I say I'd give it till this weekend. Has anyone tried to contact tko

It's been up and down for most of today. 21C hopes to have this issure resolved in the next day or so. I keep the pressure on, as I do have some new news that I would like to share!
Till then we will just have to hold our position.

is there some urgent need to get onto 21c's site anyway? TKO keeps us pretty up to date and we pretty much know what's upcoming tll the end of the year. It'll get working when it gets working. Much ado about nothing if you ask me.

If there is a website you visit regularly for info or fun or whatever and it is down for over a week, you can get frustrated or anxious to see what was happening. Remember when this site was down for a few days.

True, true, I think that some of us need that comfort of knowing that everything is okay. I believe it stems from our deep rooted childhood emotions. As Sigmund would suggest

This is correct. Everyone knows that now a days if you want to expand your retail presents be it PR or name recognition branding and over all image, especially on the web, that your site is actually working is a must. Even though they do not sell anything on their site but do ref. news and upcoming items.
For example, just look at all of us. We would not know about each other if it were not for this site and the ability to share info and discuss topics and get up to date on what we are interested in. Having a presents makes a difference to us all. TKO works hard to get us the latest info on 21st intel by telling us first here on this site and then being able to show us on 21st website is a huge deal in solidifying our stakes in this hobby. Not having that extra web-avenue from the manufacturer only points to bad press.
If any of my clients decided that they really did not need to worry about their web site being down for x number of days, then that would tell me that they would be ok with getting their name out there with word of mouth or walk-ins.

The only time I would go to the 21st Century site is when TKO would announce something new to see. That site seldom has anything new on it that TKO does not tell us about first.

I agree with Aferg. Everyone needs to keep their panties on about this. The site is down big deal. I never go to that site unless Tko gives us all a heads up.

Seems people need to keep their "panties on" about people wondering why the site has been down fo so long.

I'm not too worried about it, since I can't get it to load 95% of the time anyway--it usually times out on me before the main page loads or the latest news loads. And that is regardless of whether I am accessing it through my dial-up connection at home or through my high-speed connection at work.
