Well that sucks! Zach's figure is really inacurate. Zach's arms aren't that big!! I know, I've met the soldier in person!!

Maybe Zach cut a deal with Roy based on some wishful thinking ;) Of course, I didn't see the accessory figure set of Mustang worshipping babes, so Roy may have made him reign it in a bit :D

The poseable arms are Zach before he got married, and the static arms are what they look like now..

J/k Tko, and I want you to know that I think having an action figure named after you has to be one of the sincerest forms of flattery in our hobby..

Congrats... :D

HOnestly, I had the same gripe about the Platoon arms, but I think it is just the way they are packaged. They are unnaturally packed with the thumbs down instead of facing out which makes them loook off size to me.

figures

Post by General Blasto » Tue Oct 16, 2007 5:14 am

Personally, I'm waiting to see more WWII figures.
I've run out of new heads to swap out on the ones I got. Though I did pick up a Star Wars Imperial officer, which I will take his head for a new German Officer. What would be nice to see would be a new set of Panzer crew. Commander, gunner, driver, radio man and loader ALL dressed in the standard black Panzer uniforms ;) I got all of these tanks now and very little to man them with :( Lately, I've been painting the camo uniformed tankers to black and having to decal the uniforms, what a pain :? The new figures would go nicely with the Kongstiger whenever we see it 8) The General

Trust me WWII market is NOT going away. As a few people already pointed out, there are folks out there who have been wanting more stuff besides WWII. The decision by 21st to bolster up the Platoon line was not at the cost of WWII. I know for a fact that the next subjects in line are indeed WWII. The new dual packs will also have WWII.

Besides, I thought any new product in 1:18 was good news right. Wasn't that the complaint last week?

I haven't heard anything new in regards to the Mig-21. It's certainly safe to say that it will not be ready for 2007. Most of what I know about right now is 2007 stuff. -All the same stuff that is being announced the last few weeks and will continue for another couple weeks more I suspect. After that much of the news items will be follow up / progress reports. I don't think we will get the first intel on 2008 till Jan or so.

-Sorry, that's all I know at the moment.

Nam/Platoon figures

Post by normandy » Tue Oct 16, 2007 3:14 pm

Great news for the Nam collectors, these 2 figures look very good. The Platoon line should look cool as well. Now 21st needs to do some VC and NVA figures. Hell it might bring some guys back to 1:18th collecting, we lost a few when the Nam line was stopped.
Nice Stuff 21st ! I'm going to stick with WWII but I'm glad to see this line come alive again...

As much as I LOVE the Mig-21, hearing its delayed is actually good news. Gives me time to get my collection in order to give a few of these some new homes. If 21C needs any suggestions for painted schemes, I'd be glad to suggest a few  (since most Africa -21s merely added their insignias over the Eastern Block paints).

The best thing about 21C finally getting back to the Vietnam line? No one else does anything. BBi does WWII and modern. GI Joe can maybe be considered. And now FOV does modern.

If we see pics of NVAs or VCs, though, I'll tinkle my pants

Vietnam figure #3 is up!
We get a 2 weapons with this figure- M79 Grenade launcher and M21 Sniper rifle.

I like this one the most, so far (bring on the VC!)

(But having a figure named after our TKO, is too cool!)

Sweet. this guy could be 'King'
I somehow doubt the last 1 will be VC or NVA
But we can still tell 21st Century to make some!!! please
or we can send TKO on a mission to see if there are any left overs
from the old VN line and 21st could sell those at thier surplus store
