Authentic Models wood/silk Fokker DR.I ???

Post by longrifle » Tue Aug 28, 2007 5:05 am

is anyone familiar with the 2 sizes of Fokker DR.I's available from a place called AUTHENTIC MODELS?
One is like 15" long the other is 28" long. are made with wood frames with silk fabric.
I was curious if anyone has bought one of these and has attempted to cutomize theirs (ie. prepaint etc..)
The cokpit detail is sorry but I wonder if it could be hollowed out and customized.
Anyone have one of these models? I have seen a few of them in a store here in the mall where I live and have handled them and looked them over and aside from the cokpit, there really not all that bad looking at all.

only reason I didn't buy one was the vagueness of scale. Didn't realize the cockpit is so-so.

The Bee Gee is the one I would like to have.
