So are you saying that we have had enough of re-paints of Mustangs, Corsairs ect? I somewhat agree. We do need to see a P-51B or C. We could use a birdcage version of the Corsair or maybe a F4U-4. Or how about a F-14 Tomcat?

Here's an idea. Being that Alex didnt use rockets just take some modeling putty and fill in the holes where the rockets would be. Vex decals makes a set of kill flags for the other side of the fusalge and you can get them from Bad Cat. Lastly alot of collectors are having problems with the landing g...

Re: Finally

Finally got a Hellcat via Toysnswords.com for $39.99 plus $10 shipping. It'll show they're out of stock, but they're not. Anyhow, color me impressed. After seeing the quality of this jewel, I'm going to have to get a BBI Corsair to replace my 21st Century one. Great job BBI!!! I just sold off my Ir...

WILCO! Where did you find them? The dvd's I found believe it or not at Best Buy and the books can be ordered at your local bookstore. The Detail And Scale book you can get at your local hobby shop too. I just ordered the "Roaring Glory Warbirds: Mustang" dvd and that one should be really good. If y...

For Hellcat Lovers.

If there is one dvd to get about the F6F Hellcat then you have to get the "Roaring Glory Warbirds Vol 1: Hellcat" dvd. This is awsome. Pilot Steve Hinton takes you on a thrilling ride on the Planes Of Fame's F6F-5 Hellcat. He takes through a walk around of the Hellcat and goes over every detail of t...

I would like to see an F4U-4, a P-51B and an F-14 Tomcat in 1/18th scale. Will we see these? Not anytime soon I'm afraid.

F4U: Roger Hedricks white 17, or Big Hog.

P-51: Dallas Doll, Passion Wagon, Frenesi, or Satans Playmate.

F6F: Medal Of honor winner Capt David McCampbell.

P-47: Gabreskis P-47.

Any of these will do.

I am a big fan of the BBI Corsair. Do you guys think the new Hellcat is an equal to the Corsair? I am thinking of getting a Hellcat, just wondering how it compares to the Corsair? I would say overall that the BBI Corsair is still the best in 1/18 (Marines Dream). But the F6F comes very close, so ve...

I saw a couple of the Shangri La's at my local TRU and they look very nice. If they are still around this weekend I may pick one up to go along with my 1/18th Ridge Runner 51'. I would love to see more 1/32nd 4th FG P-51's get done along with some 357th birds as well but thats just me.

I go with 1/18th scale for my birds because of the detail and because it allows me to add extra detail here and there.

Re: Hellcat Tires

I also had a problem with the wing dehedral and corrected it with super glue Aviatornut like you did. I agree its a magnificent Cat and one that was worth the wait. The only thing now I dont like is the tires which I would love to replace with Avenger tires if I could only get the Avenger tires off...

Would I sell my 1/18th collection? Yes but only certain planes. As for Marines Dream, my F6F Hellcat, Avenger and HHH P-51? Not for sale at any price. Otherwise the rest would be for sale at the right price.

To bad one of the big 3 wont produce the F4F Wildcat. I really shouldnt say "wont" because we never know in this buisness but it would be c...
