Re: What's left

Reading this thread for a third time I just wanted to say thanks for offering what look to me to be just cool (sorry, first word that comes to mind) items at what (in my opinion) are fair and decent prices. For those reading this I'm not familiar with the author (fullyautomatic) nor have I dealt/com...

Re: Remote on/off switch

Actually have a P-47, Zero, Hellcat and a Corsair all using your off-the-shelf (from inside the drawer) 6-volt motor. Ok, so I'm usin' a 9-volt battery but that's because I used too much (and too thick) wiring... You'll notice that the aircraft I've chosen so far have radial engines as the cowlings ...

Remote on/off switch

Hello all! Long time, no read... A while back I got tired of just looking at the 1:18 aircraft I had sitting around and broke out the Dremel. Ran out and picked up some motors at my local Radio Shack and soon I was chasing bad guys around the house with my son. Thinking now about hanging a couple fr...

Re: posted some cool pictures from an aircraft junkyard

Hey guys, Live in Tampa and have taken my son to Fantasy of Flight several times over the years. Simply a great place to go check out aircraft There's also another museum over in Largo (Armed Forces Military Museum) that's a great place go check out as well. While I wasn't too impressed when I first...

Hello TTT, Yea, beatin' the "Go Jersey" flag from down here in Tampa. Had to smile when I read your response as I ended up here for the same reasons you dropped anchor there. I'm from Newark originally (Yup, born and raised) and no, not one of the many cities just outside. Lived on 9th street for 17...

Re: 1/18 Cobra $162.11 . w/ Free Shipping ( Ebay)

Looking at this posting from a lot of angles. As a strong believer of what comes around goes around (Karma I think its called no?), I gotta guess that anyone that would sell the Cobra in that condition and (1) call it Excellent and (2) make an obvious effort to hide known flaws that that boomerang w...

Re: A realistic option for merit

While still partial to the skyraider, I'd like to see another Dauntless. Why? Then there'd be more of 'em and (hopefully) with that they'd be more easy to buy. Still shaking my head as I type this that I can't buy one of my favorite airplanes (the Dauntless) because they're simply too damn expensive.

Re: A realistic option for merit

A-1 Skyraider, the A-4 Skyhawk and the Mig-21.

I actually have a preference and it's one of my favorite aircraft. I'd buy it immediately and I don't care the version however it's way too big and not that popular. What's the name? That would be the A-6 Intruder.

Re: RC Plane Talk

Hello Aferguson and thanks for the reply. The first plane from Nitroplanes is actually the one I got (the Camo F-4). Here's something interesting - I actually bought it in parts (nose/tail/wings/fuselage) instead of just the single plane for $99 and ended up with 2 of them for just a little over $13...

Hey guys. New to the idea of pickin' up a foam 1:18 plane but grabbed two Airfield F-4 Phantoms. Tried goin' through this particular thread to find out if there was one particular Phantom that might be popular here. I'm (sorta) happy with what I have but am anxious to hear other's suggestions/recomm...

Re: 1/18 P-38 NIGHTFIGHTER??

My statement wasn't complete. I should have said "...how it affects the other members and the aircraft they own before posting....". Ok, why did I say that? I looked at JOC's P-38 and thought to myself "that's a cool (sorry, first word that came to mind) canopy". I then looked at the details and saw...

Re: 1/18 P-38 NIGHTFIGHTER??

I think JOC and Buckyroo are troublemakers and should think about how their actions affect others members before making postings like these.

Re: Corsair breakdown suggestions - UPDATE

Just a side note. Did the two doors that cover the rear wheel cause any problems? Can't count how many Corsairs I've either built over the years or of the few I own in both 1:32 and 1:18 scale that break off eventually. Just wunnerin'.
