interesting pic of a dot pattern, but much more dense. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k241/stephen_munton/panther%20tank/P5_KGP_124_heimdal_copycopy.jpg something here, odd. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k241/stephen_munton/panther%20tank/Panthamb2.jpg my favorite fun camo, the octopus scheme...

Ambush pattern on Tiger I is inaccurate. You can speculate all you want, but the fact is that the Germans stopped production of Tiger Is before they introduced the "ambush" camo schemes. And no, the crews couldn't have possibly applied the "spots" on the field. they didn't even have time to repair ...

Here are some other nifty patterns. http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/431/camouflageut3.jpg 52 observed patterns on the king tiger alone. That means 11% (roughly) of the entire tiger II inventory had a different pattern. I don't even think we can fathom the amount of possible patterns that may have...

We, on this board, simply state, on this thread and earlier threads, that from the looks of his models, he is not an expert and despite what he says, his huge polka dot paint is not accurate and was never put on any 1/1 vehicles. Accuracy is important to most of the members of this board, creativit...

Instead of harassing him on your high horse, why don't you ask where he found the reference and if he has a picture of it to share. Just say it looks unique and you've never seen it before. Tact is a lost art. Here are some polka dot patterns on a model: http://www.dracostandard.co.uk/images/ambush7...

He could just have made the dots too big for the ambush pattern. It's honestly not THAT bad looking. No worse than the octopus camo schemes from the late war. There is a place for speculation in this hobby, in fact it probably needs more of it, just not at this price. He is probably overcompensating...

Totally agree, BBI's offerings are "Action Series" while 21st's are more of "Enthusiast Edition" Just on the "BBI toyish" theme, BBI's "2nd USMC Recon Battalion Super Humvee". http://img682.imageshack.us/img682/8905/bbi21288.th.jpg Based on reality or toyish ?. Looks like something from...

Do you have any detailed pictures of them opening so we can see what we have to work with? Did you add a metal bar connecting each pair of wheels through the body? Something like 21st would do to add stability to the overall piece? What will provide structural integrity for the body, or will it be j...

It's good to know that the 38t chassis can be used to create other tanks, hopefully at less cost, depending on the piece of course. I think getting a T-34 into 1:18 is probably one of the most important endeavors for the entire hobby. The fact it's been over looked by the majors is saddening. One of...
