S1 I beleive means "Series 1". It can also be used for "Skin" 1. Basically sequencing the repaints. As to the figures, Set the loader on his hatch, foot up, Pps in the crook of his right arm (Hatch open of course). The TC sits behind his open hatch with his left hand (with glass) atop the hatch. The...

Sahara

John belushi did a remake ofSahara a few years ago. There was one actor in the new version that stared in the first-the tank! Same exact vehical in both movies  For what it's worth I think the Lee's just funny lookin', the Grant's just so cool.

I have a S1 Grant as well. My tank lacks the flaws yours displayed. We've all discovered that an occasional scruffy example leaks through QC. I LIKE the fact that only one hatch opens. Most hatches out there open on tupperware box interiors. If you want to put some detail inside it's ok, this is not...

I figured some of this was "My Specific". The Canopy thing is odd as it really looks as if the the glassed parts are slightly too small for the plane! I get it that we'll see an occasional missalignment of parts or paint but this is a case of a miss-DIMENSION of parts. I love the plane, as I noted a...

GOt my TROP this week. I too am pleased. I too have a couple minor beefs and one almost major one that may be unique to my model. With the gear down the leading edge seem opens a bit and can't be closed. Are the crosses on the top of the wings in the correct place? mine seem more than a bit inboard ...

My most local WM is useless. Their toy Isles still look like NO. The best WM in my AO is in Cerritos (I think). Their Isles appear to be going through a rearranging, not a natural disaster. I found the new 88, 109F-TROP, 109G-6s, Sherman and Preist kits, some of the new playsets, Oh and a bunch of 1...

Don't collect 1/18th. Almost anything in thirty-two will do. Spread the joy, we need ALL combatants represented. 21st REALLY should do a Spit. Do a Mk V then do all the veriations, full wing , clip wing, MGs only, MGs + cannons, cannons only, cool! Do some RUssian stuff (we keep asking and nothing c...

Does it still have golfball sized rivets? What is it with model mustangs and rivets. I've never bought a FOV fighter for this reason (the Spit has 'em too). My 21st P-51 has grapefruit sized rivets. The plane couln't carry the weight of that much metal, never mind the drag

WM in Cerritos (I think) 605 and Carson. Brumbar, TWO M7s :D (I left one), one KI-84, a bunch of the little 1/72 scale jeeps and trucks, a full staffel of 1/18 109s, a couple 1/18 stukas, and one 1/18 Corsair. I don't collect 1/18 so I didn't note which exact models. Some of the 109s had the red pet...

My M7! A review

Well, I found a M7 at Walmart today  They had two. Nice two tone camo pattern, the drivers compartment is painted white which I understand is wrong? White weathering looks bad, bad idea. Detail is good. Tracks look ok, less bright and shiny highlights would be an improvement. My port side track...

I really found this one hard. I voted for the B-25, but you didn't give us a choise. I want a solid nose J model. Really surprising the P-38 got so little love. I just figured that is one plane 21st absolutely WILL do, so voting wasn't relevent. The HE, DO, and the A-20 were all "who cares". But ALL...

But if I were the manufacturer, I would recognize that WWII German SELLS in greater numbers over anything else. This is the first time I've heard this per aircraft. It's a common bit of propaganda in the armor field. Looking at WWII AC I'ld say we see an excessive number of US AC, not Luftwaffe. It...

IL-2 an obscure aircraft? Isn't the Il-2 the most produced combat AC of all time? This hobby has some odd notions. I wouldn't call the "Val", "Tony", Typhoon, or the P-39 obscure either. I voted for the "Black Death".
