Aferg I will concede that my equations are in error, and that your equation does indeed give the correct answer. I was able to prove the equation earlier today using the density of steel @490lbs/ft^3. Now say that cube is the 1:18 representative of the full scale cube. Meaning the full scale cube wo...

It's old math classes kicking in. Any time I have an exponant I use the root of that exponant to find the recipricol. The cube root is the recipricol of the cube. Volume is expressed as a cube, to find the root you have to use the cube root. (18x18x18) is a cube of 18, or expressed 18^3= 5832. The c...

About 6lbs. or 2.7kilos.

correction I used 2000 kilos=metric ton in my first calculation, which is in error 1000 kilos=metric ton.

The correct answer is 4.7lbs, or 2.1 kilos

This is for the tank that weighs 56.9 metric tons

I think you have to take the cube root, then divide by the scale.

IE cube root of 7,635lbs is 19.69lbs, divided by 18, is 1.1lbs.

The bubble top is called a Malcom hood it was a modification that could be carried out in the field of B/C aircraft. Not all B/C aircraft were modified. Some still carried the birdcage canopy up to the end of there service life. A prime example is Don Gentile's "Shangri La" a P51B with the birdcage ...

The discussion of the "Old Crow" P-51's brings up a question I have: Which is correct, the BBI one with olive drab or the 21st one that is silver? I thought the only olive ones Bud Anderson flew were the P-51C's. But then again I've seen the restored flying P-51D in the olive drab colors. Is the BB...

What really amazes me is the pose in the second photo.

You know I could see ebay maybe overlooking this if the seller was discreet with his description and photos, but for the seller to be so blatant as to show das Fuhrer throwing the seig heil.

I bet the add gets pulled by morning.

IIRC the case was judicated and the scumbag was found guilty. He was given probation (no big surprise in todays society), and ordered to pay restitution.

If you really want info on the case the best way would be to contact the courthouse where the case was handled.
