Wow, the weapons pylons actually pivot? That is a nice feature, can't wait to see that.

One of my favorites. Hobby Master captures the massive size of the F-105 well, and you would really like this model.

Hobby Master SB2C Helldiver

Anyone have one of the 72nd scale Hobby Master Helldiver models? I am thinking about getting one. I am really into British paint schemes, and this model looks great in the British scheme they chose. Just looking for opinions on the model.

Re: How about a big die cast plane?

Great point, it would not have to be die cast. That would really cut down on the weight issue. How about a 72nd scale Russian TU-95 Bear bomber? :D

Have you guys ever picked up a 1:32nd scale Corgi Mosquito model? That thing is a brick. :D

How about a big die cast plane?

I have really gotten into 1:7nd scale bombers, and I was thinking if Corgi or someone would make a really big die cast bomber like a B-47, B-52, or even a B-36. I know there have been plastic models of these planes, but how cool would it be to open that big box and have a pre built Stratofortress! :D

Buzz Buggy has landed in cajun country

I got a Corgi 72nd scale C-47 "Buzz Buggy" in today, and I really like it. Corgi does such a good job capturing the look of the real planes. This C-47 is a proud member of my growing 72nd scale collection. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

That is true, I just did some research on them here on the net, and I didn't know they used float planes that much. Very neat. :D

About an hour ago UPS delivered my Corgi 72nd scale JU-52 float plane. This is one cool model. The JU-52 looks awesome with floats. Strange but cool! :D

What do you guys think about the Hobby Master 72nd scale F-100 Super Sabre? I would like to get one in the French paint scheme with the shark mouth. Looks great, what do you think of this model?

Also, anyone know where I can find pictures of this B-24 on the web? I have found one very small picture of the nose of the plane.

Re: Big thumbs up for the Corgi B-24.

Whats cool about this B-24 is that is was a B-24H meaning it had a nose turrent. That was damaged by flak, so the nose was rebuilt with sheet metal and a B-24D nose. I also read that this was converted into a radar carrying "Mickey Ship". Anyone know what the role of a "Mickey Ship" was?
