Re: new!! 1/32 WW! FT-17 tank available
They pop up on eBay still. The company, Atlas is often named as the maker and they seem to be coming out of the nether regions of mainland China. They also market horses and French artillery pieces from WW1. The 75 mm gun is the same that the US used there in France in WW1. I have bought the limbers...

King and Country and Britains Artillery
I finally picked up a few pieces of artillery I always wanted. I have always been an artillery fan, especially WW1 British stuff. Britains and King and Country models... Here is a 13pounder in fighting mode. Actually a Britains model. The Limber is a resin kit I put together, from Tommieswar kits ht...

Re: Marine M3 Stuart paint scheme on Guadalcanal
Yes, there were some. I don't know if they painted M-3s. It would be interesting to see. The M-5 model shown above, must have had some sort of "inspiration" to work from... I have seen M-3s in North Africa that had a similar appearance as the crews used local mud to "paint" camo on the base olive dr...

Re: Marine M3 Stuart paint scheme on Guadalcanal
There may some various camo schemes, but not a lot of photo documentation of it. I have seen one pic of an M-5 like the one above, landing at Tarawa. I think most Stuarts were in the plain OD paint at GD....

Oh, yes, I missed that in the previous post. I should have known better by your description of the assembly. Ever since I started building Tamyia kits some 40 years ago, their molds and fit were always top notch.

Nice build and paint work! Is it a Tamyia kit? I built the Monogram M-60 way back when, but it didn't have half the detail your model has.

Re: 1970's Plastic B-29 Bomber Toy
Ah, an excellent lead. Thanks! I did a quick search and they seemed to have made quality plastic toys. I will research them further. Thank you! I did an eBay search. Eldon didn't seem big on planes, but I love their fire truck and I did have their ferry when I was a kid. Nice try, Kinzel. I apprecia...

1970's Plastic B-29 Bomber Toy
I am in search of a particular toy bomber that was sold in Woolworth stores in the mid 1970's. It had a wingspan of about 8-10" and often came in various colors. I had an Orange one. They were well detailed for a toy, with seperate plastic props. The also had extended landing gear with seperate whee...

Re: FOV 1/32 British Matilda II Tank Repaint
The name and numbers were Archer dry transfers. I hated them. This was the only tank I ever used them on.
Your camo and markings are right on.
Yes, many variations and many different looks of the same vehicle. I think the one I modeled was a England based tank, never was in France...

Thanks, Cnq. I have a small collection of Canadian aircraft, mainly jets. One of my favorites is the F-104 Starfighter Trainer...a Hobby Master product. I started building Cold War era Soviet planes not offered by Diecast makers to accompany my US Cold War planes that are very well represented by Di...

Well, if you do British, perhaps a couple scimitars APCs of some sort, or even rows of paratroopers. I think the AFV would be a cleaner load... This one, a MCV-80 looks like a good model...comes prebuilt too!... http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/eym/eym35036. Slightly more pricey as a kit... http://www.h...

Re: Am I Out of My Mind? -- 1/32 Heinkel 111
Yes, I must go with the 50lb line now. I have a 1/18 Avenger, a couple Stukas and various other big planes hanging on 20lb with back up lines on the bigger planes and it seems kind of thin. I do a sort of routine where I take them down and clean them. I will take that opportunity to string them with...

Wow, nice airbrush work. The canopy is much nicer too. I built the Monogram kit right out of the box, except for the decals, which I had a little trouble with. The Eduart kit is much better. Nice work, overall. Thanks for posting your work.
And thanks everyone for the kind words!
