A tip when buying: the model kit version of the Chaffee has a photo of a Korean war tank with the gaping sharp tooth mouth scheme. This was never released and all model versions have the "waterstain" paintscheme Tman and OK are talking about. This is not my favorite scheme and the Chaffee is not my ...

Steelbonnet had one of those chap mei weasels. It's pretty close to scale. A bit small but nothing too bad, so that was a good find. Chap mei and power team may be our only sources for new military vehicles for a while, until someone else comes along to fill the void. Thanks for the heads up. Those...

Worst comes to worse there will always be figures and more toylike tanks and planes to modify. At Big Lots this weekend I picked up this very crappy 3 3/4" Cops and Villains line set for $8 because it had a police tank done on what is a copy of the old Bundeswehr Wiesel AFV. I have no idea how far o...

Hell no! Are you crazy? That is evidence! Much like a murder weapon I drive way out in the country to bury all those boxes. The worst is the ones with ''BCA'' emblazoned on the side. I would rather be caught with lipstick on my face than packing peanut crumbs... what does your wife say if you get c...

Has anyone else ever been put on XD restriction? I fear she is serious this time.

Now this is the kind of thread I like to see. Anyone else think to snap a pic of their MD loot? Hell no! Are you crazy? That is evidence! I think if I had to do it all over again I'd collect 1/72. There seems to be endless choices and manufacturers and armor as well as planes take up much less room. I recently pulled all the 1/72 buys I had made over the last year and added it to my small 1/72 display; I have maybe 20 planes and 30 t...

Good thing I like planes. You have to admit though there is a lot of 1:32 armor out there already, and I think FOV is going to be around for a while yet. "Why can't we just get along" and have standard across the board scales beyond 1/48 to please everyone. That includes train scales as well....

Off-site storage, Olifant - just load up the car and tell her you found a buyer for a bunch of the older stuff! Next thing you know, it's safe in a sealed storage building and she thinks you are cutting back  that is sheer brilliance fiero dude! downside is I get caught every time in the e...

Is this 1/32 forum dead?!?
I started with 21C in 1/32 and have since moved towards a 1/18 focus but still keep up on the little guys.
What does it say for us here that barely anything has been said about the MD feeding frenzy while the 1/18 forum has been all abuzz. Is this smaller scale nothing but a side show for us here?

I now have my third shipment on the way. Those b@st@rds at MD really know how to milk me dry. Add something new every week. And there isn't any sense in buying just one item on each order, right?!? I think I am out of business though. Mrs. 'fant exacted a promise from me that I would not buy any mor...

Lets be honest guys, with 21C gone the 1/18 military market is gutted. Not eliminated, but gutted. We can still count on BBI for a handful of figures and a new AC once year, AT seems to want to hold on tight and Unimax may expand, but most of what is in my collection is by 21C. Thank God I have been...
