Both of mine are hanging from the cealing in my Florida room, along with my two zeros. That's what I refer to as my 'Pacific Theater' room. Now I can't wait to purchase my Langley P-40 and make the whole air battle scene much more interesting.

Pictures coming!

Mine is going towards two P-40s, my F-86 (possibly two) and of course, the mighty Avenger, if it ever arrives.

I hear you Tman, it's the same here in Miami with these dog-gone Wallys and TRUs. Always the same stuff and a long wait for the newer models.

Hopefully we'll be getting some of those here in Miami. My WMs still have BF-109s and P-47s, that's all.

Jason, your explanation as to steps and procedures involved was excellent and very instructive. As for the dis-assembled models, I see your point, but how about the unpainted models? Is that still in the plans? Also, could you please comment on the suggestion to sell additional, complementary items:...

cockpit detail

You know, Jason said that they kind of goofed off on the pilot, and that they'll paying more attention to the pilots and cockpits in the future, but as I look at that picture of the cockpit, the instrument panel looks great and the strap addition is a sure bonus. The more I look at the F-86 and the ...

Observation

Hyguy21, I want to go on the record as stating that your comment about the French, their "latinate voluptuosness" and their implicit laziness is untrue, offensive and inappropiate. There are several French members of this forum, and several of us with latin heritage, I'm sure. I'd recommend that you...

dio idea

I saw a diorama once, where an aircraft carrier was painted on a full wall, with the sea and the sun on the background. Ten airplanes on the deck were also painted. It was outstanding. Then a portion of the a/c carrier protruded from the wall and a couple of airplanes models were placed on the deck....

Amen to that JimBob, and I do certainly appreciate your comments here Jason. Maybe I missed something, but I don't remember anyone in particular gripping about your gorgeous airplane, the F-86. In fact, I've seen nothing but very complementary comments here, all the way around the forum. I'd also li...

Sweet drawings Dubar. thanks again for directing us to such a cool website. Oh yeah, the info capabilities of the internet do not cease to amaze me. I've found some very obscure information related to biblical archaeology on several sites, while it took me years to research some of that stuff in lib...

That's Ok JimBob, that's why this forum exists to begin with. Besides, it takes our minds off the daily routine, don't you think?

Thanks for all your inputs.

Very good Folk, and thank you for the website pictures.

So the apparently wider nose on the A model is due to the fact that the fuselage is shorter, creating the effect. Am I correct?

Thank you for a very detailed and well reserched explanation JimBob. If I read correctly, someone mentioned that the Bunker Hill has some airframe differences as compared to the Kepford bird.

Just saw 12 O'Cloch High for the first time. Although not particurly impressed with the storyline, the cineamatography is very good. I truely enjoyed the many, many shots of the B-17s

So, what about taking a BBI Corsair airframe and re-painting it in an historically correct scheme? That would be a great project to do.

Wings Over Miami Airshow

This past weekend we had the "Wings Over Miami" airshow at Tamiami Airport. It was just great, but what made it fantastic for me was the F-86 on display. Later on, it took off and did some mild aerobatics. It was a beautiful aircraft! I'll be posting some pictures here as soon as I have the time. Th...

Question

I thought the mold that 21C used for the Bunker Hill was the same one used for the Kepford. What are the airframe differences between the two, if any?

no contest

In a direct, side by side comparison between the Kepford (21C) Corsair and the 'Marine Dream', BBI model, the clear winner is defenitely BBI's. It's simply no contest in my book!

Well, I was one of those model builder you're talking about. The main reason I kind of drifted away from it was the length of time involved in getting one of these babies ready for display. I wasn't very happy with the scales either, as they always seemed too small for me, even the 1:32s. And then, ...

Sound cool Hun, but I do have a question: Wasn't the nose section of the aircrfat substantially larger than the following models? If so, how did you go about modifying that?
