Re: Merit 1:32 B-25?
I think I'd rather have the newer tooling. The Auroras are rare enough now that you're still going to be paying for that rarity regardless of the Merit's existence. It's not the same as the Revell Raiden, of which many more turn up on ebay than the B25 kit. I think I've only seen two of the B25's o...

Re: Merit 1:32 B-25?
I'm pretty sure that I'll be getting one of the "J's"
Who knows? Maybe this'll bring down the prices on
those old Aurora '25s.

That B25 looks great
I just picked up an old 1/48 Monogram "J" at a show last week-end
and I'm drooling at the thought of one of the HK 1/32nd scale kits.
1/18? Wow!

I think you did a great job man
I'm just getting back into building models myself (Old Monogram
1/48 scale "white-box" stuff off of Ebay) and I don't think that
I could have done as well.

Re: Keeping your OOB stuff "dust free"?
Well once again, thanks for all the tips (And the funny responses) folks :) I just got ten of my older 1/18th planes home and they DO need a bit of attention before I try and re-hang them. TTT, I'm hip man  'bout the only time my rides are ever "clean" is the hour after hitting the wash rack a...

I just found out that there's one here in Salem (I'd never heard of
them before coming here).
I'll swing by there tomorrow when I go to pick up my 1/18 scale stuff in
storage. Thanks again for the heads-up.

Re: Keeping your OOB stuff "dust free"?
I stick them in the shower and hose them off. Works great unless a custom model is not sealed (I seal mine, but it usually is not a problem) or if a vehicle has pigments applied. That is about it. All the stock 21st stuff can get wet without any problems. It does help to towel dry them to avoid wat...

Re: Keeping your OOB stuff "dust free"?
Pull out that vacuum every week. lol Yeah, that's about where I'm at right now. Tomorrow I'm picking up ten of them and I'm going to start the "restoration"/ cleaning work on them. I'm thinking that between some CAREFUL vacuum work and a little time blowing them off with my airbrush that I'll be ab...

Re: Enough to make you weep.
Here in Oregon they had those (1/18) '109's stacked at the ends of the aisles for months and months for $20 (And then eventually $15) and I "thought" about buying every one I could get my hands on at the time....."Thought" about it  I didn't like the paint scheme on them ( The re-paint idea nev...

Keeping your OOB stuff "dust free"?
Hi folks. I'm just getting back into collecting and displaying my 1/18th and 1/32nd scale stuff again after having it in storage for a few years. These are all out of box and a little dusty from storage (I hung them from the ceiling in my storage area). Any tips or tricks on cleaning them up and kee...

Re: Bye Bye room
Wow!
Very nice. Sorry to hear that you've got to start selling but a little one is
a "pretty good" trade off IMHO
I'm just at the point of putting MY room back together after not having one for a
few years (Wife finally gave me permission lol) and I'm going to use YOURS as
my template.

"Eagleston" was always MY favorite. I had it in 1/18th (Gave it to
a nephew a few years ago) and am hoping to get one in 1/32nd.

The HK Models B-25J Mitchell is starting to show up on ebay now. Lowest bid starts at $173 with a BIN of $190. This will be a Christmas present for me; birthday is behind me. Hi Folks, noob here and had a couple of questions (?)
Hi everyone, I just discovered these things (The 1/18th, 1/35th and 1/32nd scale planes and armored vehicles) a few months ago and am thinking that I'm going to spend ALOT of $$$ in the future building a few collections  I'm an old 19E/19K (M-60 and M-1 series crewman) and run AVLB's for my cur...
